Chapter 387 No Room for Discussion
“No room for discussion.”

Henry leaned back in his chair, his tone cold. “What exactly are you? If you hadn’t said this was about Eliza, İ wouldn’t have let you step foot in my office. Since you’re pregnant now, Miss Naomi, maybe you should do your unborn child a favor and stop coming up with nasty little tricks.”
“You-”
“Take her away.”
“Yes, sir.”
The bodyguards didn’t give Naomi a chance to speak. They grabbed her and dragged her straight into the elevator.
Back in the office, Henry’s assistant walked back in. “Mr. Henry, why didn’t you agree? With the chairman pressuring us, Miss Sue could’ve taken care of it.”
Mr. Felix had made it clear
—
Eliza needed to be taught a lesson.
Naomi showing up should’ve been perfect.
But Henry still turned her down.
“Even if we’re doing this, Naomi’s not the one to handle it. You can go. I’ll deal with it myself.”
“…Understood.”
Outside, Naomi was shoved out of the building.
Evelyn’s expression darkened the second she saw her. “What is wrong with that Mr. Henry? Doesn’t he know you’re pregnant? We’ll tell Mr. Nathaniel. Let him handle this.”
“Tell Nathaniel?”
Naomi laughed like she’d just heard a joke.
As if Nathaniel would get involved in something like this.
Especially when she’d shown up on her own.
There’s no way he’d go against Henry for her.
Then a thought came to her.
“If Henry won’t help, we’ve got someone else.”
“Who?”
“Eliza called off the engagement for Nolan, didn’t she? And Nolan already has a fiancée. You really think that woman’s just gonna sit by and watch Eliza move in on her man?”
Women are possessive – especially when another woman ditches her own engagement to chase after theirs.

Chapter 387 No Room for Discussion:
That Ms. Elaine probably wasn’t taking it well.
Meanwhile-
“Achoo!”
Eliza sneezed out of nowhere.
Halbert handed her a tissue. “Try to maintain some dignity, at least.”
“I’m home. What dignity is there to keep?”

Eliza frowned. “Tristan’s way of handling things is way too aggressive. He called a press conference just to announce my breakup with Henry. That’s basically a public slap in the Foster family’s face.”
“And you’re only realizing that now?”
Halbert shot her a cold look. “I warned you. You didn’t listen.”
“I only told Tristan I wanted to break off the engagement. I didn’t know he’d go that far.”
Ever since the news broke, Eliza hadn’t dared leave the house.
She was worried the Foster family would come for her. Gossip was flying all over the place, and people were saying she did it for Nolan.
She didn’t even dare go to school now terrified she’d run into Elaine trying to slit her wrists.
—
She rubbed her temples. “Halbert, can you maybe talk to Henry? Let him know-”
“Let him know what? That you didn’t mean for this to blow up?”
“Would that work?”
“What do you think? This whole thing is public now. I bet the Foster family wants nothing more than to rip you apart.”
Eliza hadn’t expected things to spiral like this.
“I should probably just stay home for the next few days…”
“Good. At least you know that much.”
If she went out now, what was she expecting – to get jumped in a dark alley?
This was still Westbrook.
If something happened, it’d take time for the Sue family to even react.
Ding ding-
The apartment phone rang.
