Chapter 98 Quarantine Guest
Nolan finished testing. After a moment, he finally said, “Done.”
“…Can I turn around now?”
“Yeah.”
With Nolan’s permission, Eliza turned back around.

His face was unusually red. While waiting for the test strip to react, Eliza couldn’t help but say, “You didn’t come all this way just to infect me on purpose, did you?”
“Do I look that childish to you?”
…Not really. But it’s possible.”
Eliza sat down a full meter away from him.
Seeing that, Nolan put his mask back on.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be gone soon.”
“You drove here?”
“Mm.”
Eliza’s expression darkened. “You’re like this, and you still plan on driving back?”
“I’m fine.”
“No.”
She spoke coldly, “You’re not going anywhere until you get better.”
It took over an hour to drive from the city to here.
If Nolan got in an accident on the road, she’d be partially responsible.
Eliza glanced at the test strip on the table–it was exactly as she expected: one line.
“I knew it. You’re definitely infected.”
She immediately opened a box of antiviral meds and measured out the proper dosage, then handed the tablets to Nolan.
“Here, take these.”
She got up to fetch water while Nolan stared down at the pills in his hand.
Moments later, Eliza returned with a cup of water.

“Take your medicine and get some rest here.”
As she spoke, Eliza pulled open the sofa’s folding section.

Thank god for this convertible couch. Otherwise, she wouldn’t even know where to put him tonight.
“Hold on–I’ll go make up the guest room.”
“You…”
Nolan had wanted to tell her not to go through the trouble.
But Eliza was already gone, heading into the other bedroom to tidy it up.
When she’d rented this place, she was lucky it had two bedrooms and a living room–otherwise this would’ve been a real headache.
Eliza swept and cleaned the spare room, then grabbed a fresh comforter from her own closet and made up Nolan’s bed.
She had stocked up in anticipation of the pandemic lockdown–meat, eggs, vegetables, salt, spices, even instant noodles were all bought by the box.
Her home had everything.
By the time she finished setting up the bedroom, Nolan was already asleep.
Eliza walked over and stood in front of him, watching his sleeping face.
This guy… didn’t look so cold when he was asleep.
She noticed the medicine and water on the table had been taken.
Eliza sighed and gently pulled a blanket over him.
She turned off the main lights in the living room, leaving only a dim desk lamp on.
Then she quietly returned to her room.
The next morning-
Eliza was woken up by her phone ringing. She opened her eyes to see it was already 6 a.m.
It was time to handle the shipping orders again, so she forced herself out of bed.
Thankfully, she hadn’t caught anything from Nolan.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to even get out of bed right now.
She walked toward the living room.
“Hey-”
