The Invincible Arthur Gardner novel Chapter 36

Arthur chose a charming little cafe on the edge of a bustling city street, famed for its delectable food and drinks that were much sought-after by many.

Since Arthur had skipped breakfast that morning, he decided to splurge and order a juicy burger and a cup of the infamous and expensive cappuccino he had wanted to try.

"Please order, Alicia," Arthur said quietly, as the waitress who stood waiting for their orders had been waiting for a while. "Don't just look at the menu."

Alicia raised her gaze to Arthur, her face beaming with excitement. "You mean, I can really order anything here? It's so pricey!"

"This one's on me," Arthur said, "as a thanks for aiding me with teaching those delinquents a lesson earlier."

"Don't blame me," Alicia retorted quickly, "if I spend all your money!"

She then pointed at the menus. "I want this one, this one, and this one... Oh, and this one looks nice too. I want that one too..."

After waiting for a while, their food arrived, and as Arthur had not had breakfast, he immediately began to devour his burger.

Taking a small bite, he was taken aback by the sheer pleasure of the juicy meat. Though it was not as special as the Golden Park Restaurant's food, the burger's simple taste was extraordinary - especially since it was Arthur's first burger since he had been blessed with a system.

"Woah!" exclaimed Alicia, her eyes wide with excitement as she looked at the spaghetti in front of her. "The aroma is so delicious!"

Without hesitation, she dug into the food, eating quickly and happily; as she ate, she kept stealing glances at Arthur, a smile on her face.

"May I call you Oppa?" Alicia said, finishing her first spaghetti and moving on to her next dish. She smiled, a mischievous glint in her eye as she waited for Arthur's response.

"Huh? Why Oppa?" Arthur asked quietly, slowly raising his cappuccino glass to his lips.

"My mom is Korean, even though it doesn't show in my name," she said with a chuckle.

"I'm quite used to Korean culture and some of my friends are Korean too. Or do you want me to call you Onii-chan? Both of them are fine for me."

Arthur had never experienced such abundance before, as his life had been filled with hardships. However, his fortune seemed to have taken a favorable turn lately. Making friends felt much simpler this time around.

He wondered if his newfound popularity was due to his newfound wealth. But Arthur tried to stay humble, understanding that not everyone assessed people solely based on their wealth.

"I think Arthur is enough for me," Arthur said, taking a sip of the cappuccino before him. He closed his eyes and revealed in the delightful taste; it was a far cry from the cheap coffee he was used to. "But you can call me whatever you wish, Alicia," he added with a smile.

Alicia devoured the three servings of food in front of her in record time, washing it all down with a glass of fruit juice, and then, as if that wasn't enough, she ordered a scoop of ice cream.

"I'm a real opportunist," she said with a mischievous chuckle, "so don't judge me for ordering this much food. After all, you owe me for helping you out!"

Arthur chuckled in response to Alicia. "At least I'm glad someone is pleased with what I'm doing. If you want, you can add another order," he said.

Alicia then looked at Arthur with a sharp gaze and pursed her mouth. "You think I know no boundaries, Arthur Oppa. You're wrong!" she said with a chuckle.

"Really?" Arthur replied in a hushed voice, his face a mask of disbelief. "I don't feel nearly as cool as the guy in the video you showed me."

Alicia rose up, bringing her face closer to Arthur's, and questioned him, "I mean, you guys have similar voices and, for some reason, I noticed that your kicks and Mr. Glitzy's kicks have something in common. Are you really Mr. Glitzy?"

Arthur attempted to keep his composure as he replied to Alicia's query. He did not wish to lie, yet for the protection of those dear to him, he was left with no other option but to remain silent.

Not until Arthur can muster enough power and influence to make himself more secure in the face of many people who could be hostile to him, including Aston, who appears to wield considerable influence.

"If I were Mr. Glitzy," he said calmly, "I'm sure I wouldn't confess to your question, Alicia. What's more, it seems that he is deliberately hiding his identity."

Alicia smiled warmly at Arthur and nodded. "But, I still believe you are Mr. Glitzy," she then chuckled, "I just need to prove it."

She then continued, "And, I invite you to come to this place, Oppa. I often practice martial arts here, and I hope you can join in to further hone your raw power. I'm sure you have the talent to be a professional athlete."

Arthur examined the name card presented to him by her; it provided the address for the Taekwondo training center.

He nodded slowly in agreement. "I think this is a good idea," he said.

They exchanged cell phone numbers then Alicia inquired if she could leave.

Alicia smiled sweetly and waved her hand, saying, "Alright Arthur Oppa, it was nice to meet you. I have another job I need to get to, so I hope we can meet again sometime."
