NARRATOR
“I love you, Father,” Nyx whispered, taking refuge in the safety of that embrace.
Silas would never let them drift away; no matter that both lived with their mates, they would always come home.
“I love you both too, my little ones.”
“Yes, Dad, I’ll come for breakfast every day!” Silas felt Lyra’s exuberant hug from behind.
“That’s a promise,” he answered, smiling wider than ever, almost dazzling everyone present.
Many had never seen him laugh, and maybe that was for the best, because he looked dangerously, overwhelmingly handsome.
Silas squeezed them a little tighter, feeling so blissful.
Then his eyes met, at close range, the gray ones that had given him back his will to live.
Sigrid was barely holding it together, seeing her treasures wrapped up in that hug.
She walked slowly with Drakkar, and beside her, the Centuria Queen Raven was also holding back tears as she escorted her son Aidan.
“It’s time,” Silas told them, and finally let them go.
Patting her rosy cheeks, Lyra looked at her wild male, who was devouring her with those midnight eyes.
With polished boots, ceremonial clothes, and black hair tied back in a low ponytail, he showed a different kind of more “civilized” beauty.
Lyra’s hand stretched out to take his, since Drakkar stepped forward a few paces toward her.
“My Lyra, you’re… I can’t find the word… I don’t know…” Drakkar wanted to tell her she was the most beautiful thing in the Gods’ creation.
A thousand poetic flourishes, but his own emotion tangled his tongue.
Lyra smiled, in love with this incredible man.
“Today I’ll teach you, my Drakkar. I’m going to say all the words you’re looking for,” she whispered in his mind—dark, sinful promises.
No matter how much her innocent deity learned, here the teacher would always be her.
The beast’s heart would be hers for all eternity.
Drakkar nodded, passion blazing in his eyes. He held her at his side, waiting for the right moment.
Another who couldn’t take his eyes off his bride was the winter prince.
“Nyx, you’re beautiful, my love,” he said in a rough voice, stepping forward to take his mate’s hand.
Before letting go of her mother, he placed a kiss on the back of Raven’s hand.
“Thank you, Mom, Dad…” Aidan looked toward the front row, where the Alpha King Cedrick also watched him, full of pride.
His pregnant sister was crying in her Beta’s arms and sending him all her blessings in his mind.
His whole family standing behind him, and this time, he wouldn’t stray from them for anything in the world.
“Thank you for being our son, my little prince,” Raven’s trembling hand stroked his jaw with love.
