230: One minst fall
The sun rose bright the next morning, casting golden streaks arres the sky Lyfals stirred awake at the sound of someone streaming outside.
Lucas slipped his hand away from her waist, stood alert, and left the room.
1a8ah quickly wrapped herself in a cloak and stepped out to stand beside him.
She has sent a message! Queen Arianna has sent a message!” the male Ouroboros shouted
Lylah and Lucas exchanged a look.
Soon, a few including Lylah and Lucas gathered in a room. Lucas held the letter in his hand, shoulders tense
Even though he rarely showed it, he had been worried… terrified of what might have happened to Duncan.
Afraid the news would destroy him. The Moon Realm was nothing without their true guardian.
He slid the seal open and read. Slowly, his shoulders relaxed, eyes widening as relief washed over his face. He set the paper down, allowing the others to read.
“He’s alive, Lylah,” he said, breaking the news to his mate.
Lylah’s expression matched his. Pure delight.
“Yes!!!” she screamed, leaping into Lucas’s arms. “I can’t believe this! He’s alive! Oh my God, I’m so happy!”
As if sensing Rheal might be nearby, she turned toward the entrance and there he was, standing with Cal. Both looked stunned.
“Father is alive,” Rheal beamed.
“Yes!” Lylah opened her arms, and Rheal ran into them. She lifted him up and kissed his hair. “You’ll finally get to meet him.”
Rheal threw his arms in the air, his tiny laughter echoing through the hall.
Suddenly, a harsh cough cut through the joy. Silence fell instantly as all eyes turned toward Drakora, who gripped the table with trembling arms, blood gushing from her nose and lips.
Eyes widened. Panic gripped the room.
“Vael’Shara! (The Flame–Born Mother!),” Sylra gasped, rushing forward to catch Drakora as she collapsed.
It was evening, Drakora was still unconscious, laid on the bed, skin paled.
Everyone was worried, especially Rheal, who had gone too silent since his grandmother collapsed. He was on the verge of bawling but tried to stay strong.
He hadn’t left her side for a moment.
“Could this be because of Arianna’s absence?” Lylah asked Sylra quietly.
Sylra glanced down at Rheal.
Lylah caught the meaning in her gaze and turned to the boy. “I’ll be right back,” she whispered.
She left the room, Sylra following close behind.
Now alone in a quiet place, Sylra spoke. “It’s not Arianna’s absence. The heavens are calling for her.”
That didn’t sound good.
“You mean she’s… going back?”

“yes She’s doing,” Sylts revealed, and Ly/sly went pade
“What? What do you mean dying? inst when everything is finally going right?”
“She’s not a being, Lylah She’s a deity. Het time on Earth was meant to be temporary until the mistake she made centuries ago was fixed.” Sylra explained, repeating the tale Drakora had once told her about the Wheel of Fate.
How Arianna was destined to fix it and now that it was, Drakota must go back.
“Why are you telling me this now? Arianna isn’t here! Are you saying she’ll be gone before they can even meet again? What about Rheal? He’ll be heartbroken!” Tears burned in Lylah’s eyes This can’t be happening… there has to be a way to fix this. Please.”
Sylta took a deep breath, as if preparing to drop another bomb.
“Il Drakora doesn’t die… then the heavens will take your sister.”
Lylah froze.
“That’s just it, Lylah. There’s no way out. The Wheel has turned, the heavens have forgiven the realm, and now they’ve come to reclaim the Dragon Goddess.
It’s either Drakora… or Arianna.”
A heavy silence fell.
“And I’m sure we all know what we want.”
{Moon Realm}
Arianna had just returned from visiting the realm to check on her soldiers after a long time. They had been doing well so far.
Though, slowly, she was beginning to consider Eryz’s words about bringing a little fear into the game–her dragon.
The rogue were simply too stubborn. Strong.
A grand gathering was happening soon. One that Valoreth planned to use to prove Duncan was dead, using the skull he had found in the dungeon.
He also intended to use Yvonne’s baby and Sahrak pretending to be Toran, as a means to secure his hold on the throne.
Well, Arianna had a full surprise waiting for him on that day.
The same way Valoreth had used her gathering to orchestrate her downfall, she was going to return the favor…
In ten folds.
When Arianna stepped back into the Dire Hounds‘ den, a chill ran down her spine. The air was heavy, thick with tension.
She frowned, spotting the dire hounds near the edge of the entrance, all of them staring into the darkness before them.
They leaned into her, brushing their fur against her clothing as if relieved she had finally arrived.
