Olivia made her way to her seat, sitting up straight, every move elegant and refined as she flipped through her notes. Around her, people whispered about the “eating trash” incident. Even though she’d already explained it was just a misunderstanding and got the video deleted, plenty of students still loved to bring it up whenever they got bored.

Thinking about how she’d been humiliated because of Charlotte made Olivia clench her teeth in silent frustration. But no matter how annoyed she felt, she kept her face calm and pleasant. Her image mattered more than her feelings.

Nancy, sitting beside her, caught wind of the gossip and jumped up to defend her. “You all love to gossip, but how about trying for first place in the grade for once?”

Right as Nancy finished venting, the door burst into life.

When Andrew’s gaze swept in her direction, Olivia quickly fixed her hair and stood up, acting shy and graceful. As he stepped inside, she gently tugged Nancy’s sleeve and said, with a warm, sweet smile, “It’s fine, Nancy. We’re all classmates, after all.”

“But they’re making fun of you!” Nancy was fuming, practically ready to announce to the whole room, “I’m Olivia’s number one supporter. If anyone says a word about her, they’ll have to answer to me.”

“They probably didn’t mean anything by it,” Olivia said, turning to the others with her trademark gentle smile. “Hope we didn’t scare you.”
