Charlotte hadn’t expected the video to suddenly jump to that scene. The couple tangled up on the screen made her lashes flutter, but she kept her face calm as she quickly closed it out. “Nothing.”

Her cheeks flushed a bright pink. Anthony noticed right away. He dipped his head, his lips close to her ear as he whispered, “Are you thirsty?”

His warm breath brushed her neck, and that deep, magnetic voice of his sent a shiver through her. Why did he have to sound so tempting, just to ask a simple question?

Charlotte edged away from him, cheeks still burning. She shut off the video and opened up the movie script Adonis had sent her, pretending to focus. She scrolled through a few scenes. The movie clips looked great, and the lines were sharp. With the right voice actors, it would definitely blow up.

Anthony watched her squirm, his lips curling into a small smile. He picked up her thermos, poured out half a cup of water, let it cool, and held it to her lips. The whole time, Charlotte didn’t have to lift a finger.

In the corner, Andrew was watching everything, so shocked he almost dropped his phone. Anthony, the CEO of Blair Group, the guy everyone was afraid of, was here acting like an attentive boyfriend to a girl half his size. Who would ever believe this? Charlotte really was something else. Not only did she win Anthony over, she had him trained to be this loyal.

Noticing Andrew’s awestruck stare, Charlotte smirked and tossed him a pack of cookies. “Eat up.”

“Thanks, Charlotte,” Andrew said, touched.

“There’s still a bit of a drive. You’ll need energy for the lecture you’re about to get,” she teased.
