"Hmm?" Charlotte tilted her head back, meeting Anthony’s cool stare. She blinked, trying to look innocent. "What is it?"

He just raised an eyebrow, a sly smile tugging at his lips. Planting both hands on the couch beside her, he boxed her in. There was a hint of danger in his voice. "Watching that kind of thing right in front of your boyfriend? You’re getting gutsy, Lottie."

She looked up at him, doing her best not to let her nerves show. Her eyes stayed calm and steady. "It’s just a regular movie. I just happened to scroll into that scene."

"You just happened to see it twice?"

"Yeah." Charlotte’s perfectly arched brow lifted as she leaned back, her fingers playing with the buttons on his shirt. "Total coincidence."

Anthony narrowed his eyes, his smirk growing. "So, after watching it twice, got any thoughts?"

Her grip on him tightened suddenly, yanking him closer. She grinned, looking up at him. "The main guy’s not nearly as good-looking as you."

He shook his head slightly. "That’s not the answer I wanted." He caught her wandering hand in his, his voice dropping to a low, tempting rumble. "Let me show you how it’s supposed to be..."

He leaned in, his lips brushing hers, slow and gentle, making her whole body tense with anticipation.

Charlotte had to tilt her chin up, breathing in the clean, familiar scent of him. She wrinkled her nose, but slipped her hand into his, their fingers tangled together.

"So sweet," Anthony whispered, his breath coming faster. "Lottie..." He pulled away, pressing his lips together, fighting to keep his composure. "You should get some sleep. I’m going to the bathroom."

He started to walk away, but Charlotte caught his hand. Before he could react, she yanked him back, her eyes deep and stubborn. Right then, she looked like a queen who knew exactly what she wanted. "Save water," she said, her voice steady. "Let’s shower together later."
