The goddess narrowed her eyes at Willow, it looked as if she was displeased. Willow broke into a sweat when she noticed that, she was toast for real now. "You are my my son's daughter."
"Ah? Yes!" Willow almost yelled, she just wanted to go home!
"So is that how you would call me?" Said the Goddess.
"Sorry? I didn't catch you there, goddess."
The goddess sneered at Willow. Holy sh-she was done for! "You're not allowed to call me 'goddess'."
"Not goddess?" Willow slowly questioned. She was really nervous to say what she was going to next. "Then, g-grandma?"
The fire in the goddess's eyes seemed to have calmed down.
Willow was speechless. Is this still the cold and arrogant moon goddess before her? No, someone must have kidnapped and replaced her, just a few seconds prior.
"That's more like it." Said the Goddess coolly, sipping from her teacup. "Your father had mentioned something about you having some questions, you can ask your grandmother about them."
Willow almost flinched at that. She did indeed have questions, but she felt that she would like to hear it from her father instead. But then she recalled her father saying that the moon goddess was the one who paired up mates. Willow bit her lips as she hesitated to ask her questions.
"You must be wondering why you have two mates."
Willow's head snapped up when she heard that, normally she probably wouldn't have liked pouring her heart out to a stranger, but at that moment she wanted to tell everything to the goddess, she wondered if it wasn't because she was family or if she was a goddess, or maybe both. "Technically, yes. I don't really feel that Hunter is my mate, but everyone else says otherwise and I-"
"Do you want to see for yourself, pet?"
"See for myself?"
The goddess nodded. "The truth."
Willow's heart jumped up to her throat. She did indeed want the truth, but she was afraid, afraid of what she would see, of she would find, after all ignorance is bliss.
"You can choose not to find the truth and go on with your life as it is, you'd probably find out the truth or maybe you won't. It's up to you."
Willow bit her lip as she mulled it over in her head. Did she want the truth or not? She did, she wanted to know who her mate really was and yell it out to the world that Rowan was her mate, but there might be a chance that Hunter could be her mate, it worried her greatly.
Willow shook her head. "I want to know, Know who my true mate is."
"I'm glad that you chose to face the problem now instead of pushing it to the back." Said the Goddess. "I would have had to do a DNA test if you would have chosen the latter."
Hunter was already out of the door by the time Willow caught up to him. She was shocked to see Hunter lean against the wall as if he was drained of energy. In her head Hunter had always been too arrogant, too proud, to ever show a weak side of him to anyone.
Willow saw as Hunter watched JR rush into the library, Hunter looked away from from the door and looked to be deep in thought. The door to the library opened once again and out came Triple. Her eyes looking resolute as she walked over to Hunter.
"Alpha Hunter." Said Triple softly.
Hunter looked surprised, but he morphed his face back into indifference. "What is it?"
"I heard what happened in there."
Hunter stiffened, before he raised his brows, giving away nothing. "What are you gonna do about it?" He threatened, his voice sharp.
"I can help you." Triple smiled, Willow didn't know why but she felt scared when she saw that. "You rejected her, but you and I both know that the bond won't be completely wiped out."
"What's your point?"
"I know someone," said Triple. "Someone who can help you with that."
"Why are you doing this?" Hunter narrowed his eyes. "What do you want."
