The Only One Series novel Chapter 17

I slowly woke up and realized I was not at the Viking MC. I slowly sat up and looked around. The room was beautiful. I got up and found the bathroom and took a shower. I walked over to the closet and found it full of clothes that fit me. All maternity clothes. They were expensive. I put on clean underwear a bra and a dress that came to just below my knees. I then put on socks and walked to the door opening it. I saw two bikers sitting outside. One stood up and I said. I'm hungry can you take me to the kitchen. Of course, they said and I followed them down the hall.

As we walked into the bar area one man said. You can follow me. I looked around and noticed several men and women staring at me. As we entered the kitchen there was a man cooking. I said. What are you cooking? He grinned and said. Anything you want sweetheart. I said can you make me fried eggs over-easy, bacon, and white toast? Sure have a seat over there at the table it will be ready in a minute. Is there fresh coffee I like cream in my coffee. In about five minutes the food and coffee were placed in front of me. I looked up as the man who had been leaning against the tree at the Viking MC walked in.

He walked over and poured himself a cup of coffee and sat down across from me. I looked up at him and he said. Do you want to know why I kidnapped you? I shrugged my shoulders and said. You're Tanner. I met everyone but you and so I'm not surprised. All of you are pissed at Gunner. He leaned back in his chair and laughed. You really aren't surprised. No, I am not. You all want Gunner to suffer for what he did to me. Well, I can't lie to you. I do want Gunner to suffer. He had a beautiful woman waiting for him to come home but when the war ended he didn't. So yes, I want him to suffer. He hurt you and that is unforgivable. He is one lucky son of a bitch and he refuses to claim you.

That is selfish of him. It is wrong for him to think you would care about a fucking scar. I wished I had met you before I went to war because I sure as hell would not have let a scar on my face keep me away from you. Now. I have claimed you as my sister and I will take care of you as a brother should. You are free to walk around the compound, if you want to go into town you can but with two guards. You want to buy something let them know they will pay for it. I also want you to see the doc because of your pregnancy we want you healthy.

I grinned and said. Tanner, I understand your need to protect me. But I want you to do something for me. I want you to find out if Gunner wants to be with me. Don't tell him about the baby. I need to know. If he doesn't then I want you to tell him that I finally got the message. I release him and want him to find a woman that will make him happy and give him what he wants. Tell him I won't wait any longer. I will write a letter I want you to giveit to him for me. Can you do that for me? Yes, I can do that for you. Good. I said.

***

I took the letter and read it. She is going to stop waiting for me. Good. Because I know she is better off without me. Maybe you should know you are going to be a father. She is pregnant. And I hope you are happy now. Lets go I said to my VP. Tanner. What do you want Gunner, I asked turning around? How far along is she? About six months. Then I am going to be a father. Yes, but you will never know if it is a boy or girl. Because you rejected her. I hope you are happy with your decision. Good-bye Gunner, I said walking out of his clubhouse.

My VP said. If she wasn't broken before she is going to be broken for sure now. I know I said. We have to watch her. She might become depressed and try to harm herself. How could he do this to her over and over? I said I don't know but I plan on getting her to let me claim her and raise that child like mine. I have to say I have never hated anyone as much as I hate that man right now. I don't want to tell her I gave him the letter and he didn't care. We started our bikes and rode back to my clubhouse each of us in our thoughts.
