Daxton was about to leave, his hand on the doorknob, when Bryan spoke up behind him. “One way to resolve this is to knock Aubree off her pedestal. The other is to make sure anyone who wants her back is incapable of doing it.”

‘Who would want Aubree to come back? The only person in the whole Wilson family would be Ronald. In other words, Bryan is saying he wants to seize Ronald’s authority.

‘If they couldn’t deal with Aubree, then Bryan would just take over Wilson Group himself. That way, even if Aubree comes back, she’ll be no threat to him at all, Daxton thought.
