Nemesis was not just stunned by the blast from Divus; the force of it had pushed his weapon through his body, shredding his hand and a portion of his torso to pieces. Just because he was wielding a Primordial level weapon did not mean that Nemesis could perfectly control it, and Divus had capitalized on that weakness with a single blow.
All of the serpents were linked, like different fingers on a single palm, and so it would be foolish to try to treat each serpent as a singular entity in a fight.
Nemesis had no choice but to embody the entirety of the desert within itself. The first clash with Bahamut had revealed that anything short of a Primordial Level attack was useless against these beasts, but utilizing such forces also came with clear disadvantages.
Four serpents encircled Nemesis. Their movements were eerie and swift, like dragonsโ, as they darted forward, quicker than lightning, and took tiny, quick bites out of Nemesis.
In less than a second, they had struck thousands of times, and their tiny bites, if allocated to their size, were similar to tearing out flesh the size of galaxies from Nemesis. Yet the serpents did not swallow; they corrupted the flesh with the power of destruction, causing it to rapidly crumble, and they spat it out.
Nemesis lost more than thirty percent of its body mass in that single second. His body was moving erratically, but a dull roar emerged in his chest as his disordered mind snapped into focus and his Will poured into the blazing chains that had wrapped around his heart.
The chain transformed into a Judgement Spear thrumming with the power of final endings, that pierced through his clavicle and deep into the eye of an attacking serpent, causing the serpent to shriek in a tone that shattered nearby dimensions.
Nemesis laughed as the spear erupted from his body and transformed into the Sands of Annihilation, which he gathered into a swirling orb above his palm before blasting it towards the last three serpents.
The force of this move was such that it would disable all three serpents for a while if they were hit, but with eyes flashing with rage, one of the serpents pushed itself forward to receive the blow head-on.
"BOOOM!"
The impact created a perfect sphere of nonexistence, a million light years wide, temporarily erasing all concepts from Reality around this region for a while, and flinging the severely injured body of the Ouroboros Serpent into the distance.
Nemesis was not much better. Wielding this weapon of a Primordial that had faintly exceeded the scope of Reality was trading eight injuries to inflict ten injuries on his foes. His body could not last for long, and there were still two more serpents who were basically untouched.
The last two Ouroboros serpents did not push forward to attack with their bodies; instead, they began pulling power from both Divus and Bahamut.
A powerful shockwave exploded from their bodies, as they began to glow with a purplish-blue color as if their bodies were about to transform into energy.
Something like this should be impossible. Mixing two concepts would almost always result in either the destruction of both or the weakening of their power.
At the level of concept, there was no mixing because, technically, the concept had been taken to its utmost limit of purity, and trying to mix them would be like a mortal trying to merge two diamonds by slamming them together.
However, all of these strict rules were banished when a variable was added to the mix, and that was the Will of Elder.
This unique Will belonged to the Primordial Beast, and it was one of the most mysterious Wills in all of existence. It was almost useless on its own, because this Will lacked the capacity to institute grand changes across Reality on its own.
Its only purpose was to gather the strengths of the different Primordial Beasts into one. Which meant that the Primordial Beasts could never be defeated if they were united, and this was not an overexaggeration.
In a hidden realm, where the Thrones of the Primordials silently watched the ongoing battle, Primordial Chaos had been looking on in fury, and the rest had curious but largely disinterested looks in their eyes, but everything changed when the Ouroboros Serpents unleashed the Will of Elder.
Nemesisโs eyes widened at this change, seeing a power that exceeded Reality itself being destroyed, and then it... smiled.
