Chapter 1690: Choosing The Record

When he first gained the Primordial Record, Rowan had depended on it for information; its short but succinct descriptions of bloodlines and their abilities were an essential tool he used in understanding his surroundings and figuring out hidden secrets.

The Primordial Record had also served as a method for judging his abilities and expanding on their usage. Due to the fact that Rowan had been unique from the start, he had no other individual who shared his abilities, so he had to find a way to discover the reach and limitations of his powers.

Without the Primordial Record, Rowan would have died or faced countless deadly hazards as he attempted to understand what he was capable of.

Over time, he grew increasingly powerful, and his dependence on the Primordial Record for figuring out the world around him drastically reduced as well. His greater consciousness and comprehension ability made his mind increasingly powerful as time went by, and he slowly graduated from a fledgling powerhouse to a terrifying, unique predator of immortals.

In recent years, Rowan has stopped utilizing the Primordial Record as much, not because it has lost its relevance—far from it; like Rowan, the Primordial Record is also adjusting to fit Rowan’s growing powers and needs.

The first significant changes came about when it found a way to create a Class that fit Rowan’s present capabilities, and assisted him in the creation of his Origin Land, and now, with Rowan acquiring the power of Origin, another leap forward in its capabilities had been created, which was fusion.

This ability had always been present in the Primordial Record, and its usage was spectacular, but it could not reach the levels of option that it had just presented to Rowan at the moment.

Rowan did not have to guess how such a potent degree of fusion was now available, when he knew it was because he had finally bridged the gap between his dimensional flesh and his original nature as a Reality.

Only with such a robust foundation could a proper fusion begin to occur where all of his multiple abilities and bloodlines would be fused into a singular and potent power whose limits were unknown.

Rowan had always known that the path of the Primordial Record was centered on the ultimate fusion with him. In the past, when this fusion had occurred, the singularity had been in a dominant position due to how weak and incomplete Rowan’s foundations were.

If he had agreed to fuse with the Primordial Record in the past, he would have certainly gotten extremely powerful in the short term, but he would have lost his mind to the singularity, and his potential would have been capped at the Primordial level.

With his stubbornness, Rowan had stuck to his path and chose to be the master of his fate. Slowly growing his powers and digging into the secrets of his past, Rowan’s personal power base had grown to such an extent that fusion with the Primordial Record was no longer a simple affair.

His dimensional flesh and soul, his Origin Land and bloodlines, his multiple powerful wills, titles and techniques, all of these were not simple powers that could be easily managed, instead a highly complex procedure of filtering and matching were to be made, his abilities needed to be grown, refined and understood, and then the Primordial Record could attempt fusion.

Rowan was no longer a simple immortal that could be merged with the Record. His dimensional flesh had the potential to hold multiple Origins, essentially making him a Primordial of numerous paths, and his Origin Land held potential that was unmatched since nothing like it had existed since the beginning of existence.

All of these changes were quite important because Rowan had longed to understand that the Primordial Record was not an average Singularity.

Unlike every other singularity in existence that acted like seeds to water the foundation of a budding Reality, the Primordial Record aimed for something more, and whatever that thing was, Rowan would only know when their fusion was complete.
