The Primordial Record novel Chapter 1709

Chapter 1709: Madness And Blood

This brief clash was brutal, almost animalistic, but the level of laws that were being thrown around had eclipsed anything that any immortal in Reality could withstand; a battle like this was never meant to be fought inside a Reality.

Every move they made carried an infinite number of laws, and so a simple punch had myriad changes within it that would take a billion Old Ones, an endless number of years to slowly decipher and understand.

For Rowanโ€™s punch to reach her, he had to basically tear through a field of omnipotence around her body, which reduced all damage to null, and even when that field was torn through, her flesh was not truly flesh, just concepts that had been woven so intricately it took the guise of flesh because of their will. ๐š๐•ฃ๐ž๐—ฒ๐ฐ๐•–๐›๐ง๐• ๐•ง๐šŽ๐š•.๐œ๐š˜๐—บ

Primordial Soul had placed Rowan as an equal in her mind. She had watched as countless powerful enemies fell before him, and he grew stronger; he was fully growing into his nature.

Few may understand that although the Primordials were said to be matchless, it was not necessarily the case; there was one entity that could match and kill them given the right situation, and those entities... were Realities.

Of course, most Reality would never gain the capacity to kill a Primordial because they were mostly beings of Creation; however, what would happen if an entity whose sole function was to give life to the darkness of Limbo becomes corrupted by fury, bloodlust, madness, and death?

Nobody knows, not even Primordial Soul herself, the architect of this madness.

Still, nothing would prepare anyone for the screams of agony that erupted from Primordial Soul as Rowan cut her in two and pulled out the blade.

As the Destroyer tore Primordial Soul in two, it also ripped her apart from the inside and feasted on her blood, flesh, and bones.

Rowan slowly pulled his hand back, and the Destroyer emerged from its feast a thing of horror. It had once been broken in battle, with barely a third of its blade left, and that part was filled with cracks; only the Will of this powerful weapon and the nurturing of Rowan kept it whole.

Drawing the blade from the broken body of Primordial Soul, Rowan growled, "As I unmake, so also do I create."

What emerged from the body of Primordial Soul was both grotesque and awe-inspiring. Pulling from his talent of creation and destruction, he fulfilled the last requirements needed for forging a new blade using his Aspect as a Slaughter Revenant.

His blade that had once been broken was now whole, but it was no longer made from metal. Its length was forged from all the bones that could be harvested from the body of Primordial Soul, including vertebrae, demure, her spine, and the bones from her limbs, all melded with her sinews and hardened cartilage.

The edges of the blade are lined with teeth and fingernails sharper than the edges of a dimension, and they numbered in the billions. Tendrils of flesh and blood began traveling up the blade, covering the hilt and the pomel, transforming the metal into flesh.

The hilt became wrapped in still-living muscle fibers that pulsed faintly underneath his grip, as if the sword were breathing, and the guard shifted, spreading through Rowanโ€™s fingers as if it were holding his hand.
