Tinsley absentmindedly munched on her snacks, not fully bothering to listen.

Rowena retorted, "It's just like how Annalise lost her baby. Can you guarantee this child will be born safe and sound?"

The question stumped Chloe.

Rowena continued, "If your son hasn't had a vasectomy, he doesn't need to worry even if something happens to Jessica's baby. After all, he can still have children with other women. But with a vasectomy, there's no hope at all."

Chloe's expression darkened as she continued to listen.

Rowena added, "If I were you, I wouldn't be running around anywhere now. I'd stay at home and take good care of the child."

Tinsley then asked, "Since you've disowned Zachary, you won't be angry if he changes his surname in the future, right?"

Chloe immediately exclaimed, "He wouldn't dare!"

Rowena chuckled. "He's not part of your family anymore. Why would he be afraid of you?"

Tinsley nodded. "If I were him, I'd change my surname to my mother's."

Rowena looked at Tinsley and said, "You have a point."

Their back-and-forth left Chloe feeling uneasy, and she quickly said goodbye and left.

Once in her car, she immediately dialed Zachary's number.

When Zachary saw the caller ID, he wondered if he was seeing things. Wasn't Chloe taking care of Jessica? Why would she have time to call him?

After a long silence, Zachary asked, "What is it? Do you need something?"

Chloe hurriedly questioned, "Are you planning to take your mother's surname in the future?"

"That's right. How did you know?" Zachary replied without hesitation.

"Don't hang up!" Chloe yelled.

When she looked at her phone screen, she realized their call had already ended.

Chloe hurriedly called Steven. "What should we do?"

Steven felt irritated to hear Chloe's voice, but what annoyed him more was that he had to soothe her emotions. "What's the matter?"

"Zachary seems really angry. What if Jessica gives birth to another girl? What should we do?"

"Did you just realize this now? Why didn't you think of this when you were threatening me with death, insisting that I get a vasectomy?" Steven shot baack.

Chloe felt her mind go blank in a daze again. "Jessica threatened me with the baby in her belly."

Steven asked mockingly, "And you obeyed her threats? Isn't this exactly what you wanted?"
