I flutter my eyelids open to see the beautiful Kaela beside me. She isn’t sleeping, instead, she’s staring at me with a smile on her face, her breast pressed against my chest. She appears to be everything I’ve ever wanted.

“Have you spoken to him about the arrangements?”

“Yes, Father. We will get it done in no time.”

“I know someone who can forge the medical report. A midwife that can give a false statement. Let me know when you are ready to strike.””

“Yes, Father.” She smiled deliciously at him, and he winked back before nodding toward me.

I finished dressing and headed toward the window, spotting my carriage waiting outside with Kai standing beside it.

“Shall we?” came Kaela’s voice. I turned to see her fully dressed.

“No. I only want to see you off to your carriage.”

We headed out quickly, and when we reached the carriage, I saw Kai speaking with four men.

“Ah, Alpha Nyroth,” Kai said. “These men here want to see you. They say it’s about someone who lives in the Hue Pack”

I stepped forward, studying them. Their scent was different. Rogues. My brows lifted as I realized exactly who they were.

“You are the Alpha of Hue Pack?” one of them, the leader, it seemed asked, but I didn’t answer.

“There is a woman we are looking for. The one who caught the King’s eyes at the coronation.”

At those words, my blood went cold. Zeph. Why were they asking about her?

“What’s going on?” Kaela asked, stepping forward.
