The witch cast her dark spell on me.

Just when my body was about to give out from the unbearable strain, a syringe plunged sharply

into my arm.

My eyes flew open.

A powerful stimulant shot through my veins, bringing every nerve back to life.

The pain returned all at once, crushing me like a steamroller.

Cold sweat soaked the sheets beneath me.

Finn watched everything with detached calm. He was determined to uncover the truth that day

and give Hazel the justice she had been denied.

“Maple, you brought this on yourself,” he said coldly.

“You made Hazel suffer all these years. This is the debt you owe her.”

Finally, the screen began to move again.

The image showed a dim basement.

I was curled up in a corner when the door burst open.

Several men entered, their faces twisted and vile. The last one to step inside was Finn.

“So, you really won’t talk?” he asked coldly.

“They’re all sick in one way or another. I’ll give you one last chance.”

I shook my head violently, tears running down my cheeks.

“No, no, please, I can’t say it. Finn, believe me, I have my reasons.”

Finn grabbed my chin hard. “What reason could be worth Hazel’s life? Tell me!”

When I didn’t answer, his eyes went cold.

“Fine. If you won’t talk, they’ll get what they came for.”

He turned his back on me and walked away, leaving those disgusting men behind.

No matter how I screamed, he never looked back.

My clothes were torn apart. Their filthy hands and drool covered my body.

They pinned me down, spreading my legs, their touch violating every inch of my skin.

My wrists were bound so tightly I couldn’t fight back.

After Finn and I had sealed our mate bond, he had never touched me again.

Instead, he threw me to these monsters.

He even ordered his beta to watch, to make sure I didn’t kill myself.

He wanted me to die slowly, piece by piece.

The members in the stands were divided. Some cursed me, saying I deserved it.

Others said Finn’s actions defied the laws of the realm, that no Alpha should ever behave this way.

Arguments erupted everywhere.

Finn let out a bitter laugh.

“You still care about your precious purity? Did you ever think about Hazel’s despair?”

“Did you care about her purity when you let this happen?”

“If you’d spoken up earlier, Hazel wouldn’t have taken her own life!”

I bit down on my lip, refusing to scream, drowning in hopelessness.

“I… I can’t tell you,” I repeated, my voice hollow but steady, my eyes empty yet firm.

Finn’s face twisted into a sick smile. My pain seemed to ease his own torment.

“You’re still the same fool. Do you really think staying silent will help you now?”

The electricity surged stronger. My body convulsed in agony, but I still didn’t break.

“You can’t do this to me,” I forced out through gritted teeth. “You’ll regret it.”
