"I don’t think I can do this," I said as we stood in front of the club.
"Yes you can, Anna. If you don’t, you might never see your necklace again."
Katie had made me wear a thin strap skimpy dress with deep cleavage that showed off the top of my breast and exposed my laps. It made me feel very uncomfortable, like the whole world was staring at me.
"But isn’t this too much?"
Katie smiled.
"You’re not naked, Anna. You’re still wearing a dress, just showing a little more than usual to attract those young billionaire men." She winked.
I still wasn’t very sure if this was a good idea. But the more I thought about it, the better I realized how hopeless the situation was. The diamond necklace was worth millions, even if I worked for five whole years, it wouldn’t still be enough, and worse it would be auctioned off in a few days. So, I decided that Katie’s idea wasn’t very bad afterall. It was the only way I could get such money.
"You don’t have to do it if you want to." Katie took my hands in hers, looking straight into my eyes.
"I do want my necklace back. I’m just scared about the things that might go wrong." I have heard quite some bad stories about girls being killed, kidnapped and assaulted for this same job. And the thought of it happening to me made me shudder.
"Don’t worry, this is a special club. Nothing bad happens to girls who work here," she assured. "Now let’s go."
As soon as we entered the club, the heavy sound of hot music reached my ears. I scanned the whole place with my eyes wide open. If I thought my dress was too opened, then inside here, girls were mostly naked. Some wore sexy lingeries, while others were in skimpy bikinis that left little to the imagination, swaying around the pole, while some of them were in the midst of men.
I suddenly felt ashamed.
"Would these men even spare me a glance? The girls are very beautiful and curvy too..." I trailed off.
"You bother yourself too much, Anna. You look stunning. I would be lying if I say you don’t stand out in this room," Katie said, as we stood in an open space. "Stay here, someone will definitely approach you. And don’t forget everything I told you."
I nodded.
"Good. I will leave you now. Enjoy yourself." She adjusted my hair and blew me a kiss before leaving.
I stood there alone unsure of what to do. My hands were trembling slightly and my heart beat faster in my chest. I ordered a glass of soft drink to distract myself as I waited for whoever might come.
Suddenly, I noticed an intense gaze on me. I turned my head to where I felt the gaze the most and my eyes met with a pair of beautiful hazel eyes. For a moment, my breath seized up as I looked at the handsome figure sitting a few feet away from me. He didn’t smile and kept staring at me in a way that made my skin crawl.
I quickly tore my gaze away and focused on my drink.
"Hi, stunning." Shortly, someone said next to me. Turning to the voice, my heart nearly leaped out of my chest. It was the same guy.
"Oh... Hello..." I said nervously, trying to mask my uneasiness with a fake smile.
"What is a Beauty doing in a place like this? Or are you looking for a Beast?" He smiled beautifully, standing two steps away from me.
"Thank you... I guess I’m just looking for a little adventure tonight."
I could feel my cheeks warming up as I spoke. There was something intriguing about the guy, he had this very aura that made me want to run away as far as I could, yet want to stay to see how things would go.
"Can I know the name of this gorgeous? And maybe she can add me to her list of adventures tonight." He winked, causing me to snort. He was funny.
"Jacy Anderson... And you?" I remembered Katie warning me not to tell anyone my real name.
I noticed the glint that flashed through his eyes, before he quickly smiled.
