The Stolen Heiress: Claimed by her Father's Ruthless Enemy. novel Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Kidnapped.

It was already night now, and I still had to clean his private room and wash the dishes before going to bed. I took the vacuum cleaner and made my way to his room. His private room was located at the west wing of his room. So, it wasn’t very difficult to find.

Getting there, the room was dark, the only light was from the moonlight streaming in through the window. As I moved further towards his private room, I could see soft brightness coming out through the slightly opened door.

He must be there, I thought before pushing the door open, and what I saw next snuck the air out of my lungs.

On the massive bed, under the thick sheet was ’my husband’. But he wasn’t alone. A naked woman was beneath him, moaning loudly in pain and pleasure as he pounded roughly into her.

A gasp escaped my lips and the vacuum cleaner fell from my hand, the sound grabbing their attention.

Alexander turned to me with a frown on his face as if he was being disturbed, but when he saw me, the frown was replaced by a blank expression.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, snapping me back to reality.

"I... I wanted to clean the room..." I stuttered.

"I’m busy here, come back later when I am done," he said flatly and turned his attention back to the woman underneath him.

"Yes... sir..." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Picking up the vacuum cleaner, I tried to see who the woman was, but her disheveled strawberry hair covered her face, making it difficult to make out her appearance.

"What are you still waiting for?" Her delicate voice rang in annoyance and I realized I was still staring at them.

"I...I am sorry for disturbing you. I will leave now," I said awkwardly and hurried out of the room.

I rushed through the hallway finding my way to the kitchen. When I got there, I sat on a chair as my legs couldn’t hold my weight any longer. They felt numb and my heart beat rapidly in my chest.

"What did I just see?" I whispered, still in shock.

I closed my eyes and let out a deep sign.

It’s nothing, Anna. Just pretend as if you didn’t see anything, I comforted myself. Opening my eyes again, I stood up to wash the dishes.

Yet, the images of him thrusting into her and the sound of her moans kept appearing in my mind, even when I tried to shut it off and focus on finishing my work, those images wouldn’t leave my head. They became even more vivid and tormenting with each passing time, and it slowly made my heart burned with anger, sadness and confusion.

How could him? How dare he turn my life in a walking nightmare while pleasuring himself without another woman? Who did he think he was that he could treat me the way he wanted? The only reason I agreed to marry him was to get my necklace, and now he wouldn’t even do that for me, so why was I still here allowing him to treat me like this?

Tears filled my eyes, blurring my vision. I wiped my tears with the back of my palm, and made my way to the master bedroom. I was fed up with him and everything related to him. I wouldn’t stay still and succumbed to this hell.

Packing some clothes in my backpack, I sneaked out of the house. It was dark, and the lights outside the mansion were turned off, so no one could see me. I quietly escaped through the gate and found myself in the dark, empty streets.

I didn’t know where I was going, but I kept moving. Maybe I would take a cab to Katie’s place, then figured out my life afterwards. But there was no cab. The mansion was on the outskirts of the city. I needed to go down the main road to see one.

Just as I thought about that, four men appeared from behind a closed restaurant, holding weapons in their hands. It was as if they had been waiting for me. Fear spiraled through me. I didn’t know who these men were, but I knew they were dangerous. I took a step back and without thinking, I took to my heels.

I ran even faster, my heart in my throat, pounding in my ears when I noticed they were chasing me. But after some time, I couldn’t run anymore. I was out of breath and my legs were wobbling.

Before I could think of what else to do, a hand came around my waist and another one covered my face with a piece of clothes. I tried to struggle against the grip and breath for air, but a stinging smell filled my nose, and slowly, my eyelids became heavy and my body went numb.
