The Stolen Heiress: Claimed by her Father's Ruthless Enemy. novel Chapter 24

Chapter 24: Stole from him.

"Why did you do that?" Ethan asked as soon as they got inside the car.

"Because I can," Alexander simply replied.

"You were going to get that dress for Linda for the upcoming annual Business Gala, and now you have everything delivered to your wife?" Ethan pressed, sounding quite annoyed and frustrated.

"Don’t get any stupid idea. This is nothing new. The clothes she has been wearing all came from my money."

"That’s not what I meant."

"I don’t care what you meant, Ethan. Linda could get another dress when the Gala neared. As for those ones, they are delivering them to my place." 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦

Ethan wanted to respond but the angry look on his face made him swallow his words. He hated it when his decision was being questioned. Though he didn’t know why he did that, he guessed he wanted to show that brat that she couldn’t just mess with anyone.

"Any idea why your fiancèe was there?" Ethan smirked, changing the subject.

"No idea." Not that he cared. During his meeting with his supposed ’step-father’ this morning, he was told that George Steele was ready to marry off his daughter to him. That bastard really had no fear. He didn’t even care what would happen to his daughter especially after knowing his motive for revenge, he was still willing to sacrifice his daughter, just to gain control over his wealth. He was a coward, and he couldn’t wait to rip him off completely.

"You are meeting her tommorow... Will you really marry her though?"

"I don’t know. Her sister would leave in less than four months so I still need to decide."

Ethan smirk deepened.

"I think she would suit you more than her clueless sister."

"Clueless, you say. You don’t know her."

Ethan just hummed and focused on driving. They didn’t speak to each other after that.

I was sitting on the bed still waiting for Noura response. And as time went by, I got more and more impatient. Would she ever respond? I thought of calling her, but I couldn’t. She was anonymous. It made me wonder if she was even real in the first place.

Shortly, a knock came to the door and Ms. Rita entered.

"Madame, did you order for clothes?" She asked, and I shook my head.
