Simon’s actions had violated multiple laws with solid evidence against him. He kept mentioning his dad, the Deputy CEO, over and over again, dragging Edmond into the mess
too.
With a high–ranking executive like the Deputy CEO involved in this mess, Jackman Enterprises naturally got pulled in as well.
Normally, with Andrew’s skills, handling this kind of issue wouldn’t be hard.
But Ronald had prepared ahead of time, and he wasn’t about to let him get away easily.
Under his control, more and more people started blaming Jackman Enterprises because of this, which also affected the company’s stock. They even forgot about Simon, the guy lying half–dead in the hospital who started it all.
Because of all this, Andrew was swamped every day, running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but seeing little results.
He wasn’t dumb, so he obviously noticed someone was targeting them on purpose behind the
scenes.
The Jackmans had risen to their current status because they’d made plenty of enemies along the way.
But he still couldn’t figure out exactly who it was, or who had the power to pull this off.
Worried sick about the company’s problems, Andrew looked visibly worn out. His usual steady demeanor was cracking, and the entire Jackman family felt the low mood hanging over them.
Erin was worried too.
But she wasn’t worried about the Jackmans. She was worried about Simon.
Everyone thought Simon went after Tracy because of their old grudge, but only she knew it was because she’d egged him on.
Now that things had blown up so big, if Simon dragged her into it…
Erin didn’t hesitate for long before deciding to pin it all on Tracy.
Even after getting home from the office, Andrew was still holed up in his study room dealing with work.

His brows had been deeply furrowed tight since he walked in, so no one dared to go near him and risk setting him off.
Erin had always been the exception in this house, and she knew it. So while everyone else stayed away from the study room, she carried a glass of milk right in.
Erin wore a sweet, obedient smile on her face. She was just about to say ‘Andrew, when Andrew’s furious voice cut through, “Get out, all of you!”
Erin’s smile froze on her face. She stood in the doorway staring at Andrew, her eyes welling up with tears.
Andrew had yelled first before looking up at the door.
Seeing it was Erin, he was surprised. Though his anger hadn’t fully faded, his tone softened, “Erin, why didn’t you knock before coming in?”
Erin pouted, looking hurt, “Andrew, I saw you’ve been so worn out lately, so I wanted to bring you some milk. I didn’t expect to make mad.”
you
After all, she was his most beloved little sister. Andrew let out a heavy sigh, pushing down his irritation.
“I’m not mad at you.” He didn’t know what else to say for a moment.
After a quiet pause, he closed the file on his desk and waved her over, “Bring the milk over here.”
Erin’s tears turned to a smile right away. She happily handed him the milk and watched him drink it.
Andrew drank it quickly, like he was just checking off a task.
Once done, he handed the glass back to Erin, clearly hinting for her to leave soon,
But Erin acted like she didn’t notice. She took the glass but stayed put, looking like she had something to say but couldn’t quite get it out.
Andrew frowned slightly, “Is there anything else?”
Erin hesitated, then finally spoke up, “Andrew, I know you’ve been stressed about getting dragged into the Dunns‘ mess. So I went to the hospital to see Simon. I wanted to help lighten your load.
“But when I saw Simon, I found out the truth about this whole thing. It’s all because of Tracy.”

Andrew was stunned, “You mean Tracy?”

Erin nodded, “Simon and Tracy have never gotten along. This time, Simon was holding a grudge and just wanted to scare her to blow off some steam, but he didn’t expect her to set him up like that.”
Andrew’s face showed clear shock.
After the mess started, he’d been too busy trying to pull the Jackmans out of it to dig deeper. He had no idea Tracy was involved.
He couldn’t help but frown, “What exactly happened?”
Though it was a question, the disgust and annoyance in his expression made it seem like he’d already decided it was Tracy’s fault. He was even thinking about how to punish her.
Erin had been waiting for him to ask. She jumped right in, “Tracy deliberately called the cops, saying Simon was out to hurt her, but really, she brought people to beat him up and send him to the hospital.
“Tracy somehow bribed Simon’s personal bodyguard and prepared fake evidence ahead of time to frame him, which is why he got arrested.”
Andrew hadn’t expected the ‘truth‘ to be like this. He slammed the table in anger, “This is ridiculous!”
Erin seemed startled by his reaction, shrinking back a bit, “Andrew, don’t be mad. Maybe there’s some misunderstanding!”
Andrew snorted coldly. “Simon told you this himself, so how could there be a misunderstanding?”
Erin looked like she wanted to defend Tracy but didn’t know how, looking conflicted. Inside, though, she was thrilled.
Of course, these words hadn’t come from Simon.
Simon was the main suspect with cops watching him around the clock. Even Edmond couldn’t see him easily.
