Chapter 295 Taylor, you will regret this
Mia’s POV
“Don’t worry,” I said calmly, turning toward Taylor. “You’re next.”

Taylor’s eyes widened, but she wasn’t fast enough to escape. I picked up Scarlett’s martini glass and slowly, deliberately, poured the drugged alcohol over Taylor’s head.
The gin cascaded down her perfectly styled blonde hair in slow motion, each drop catching the amber light of the bar’s expensive fixtures. The liquid soaked through the expensive strands. Ice cubes tumbled from the glass, bouncing off her shoulders and scattering across the polished marble floor with sharp, crystalline sounds.
“How is it?” I asked. “How does this special cocktail taste?”
“What the hell is wrong with you?!” Taylor screamed, violently pushing the table away from herself. The force of her movement sent chairs crashing to the floor with a thunderous clatter that seemed to reverberate through the entire establishment.
The entire ber fell silent. All conversation ceased as if someone had pressed a cosmic mute button.
The entire ber fell silent. Every conversation stopped mid–sentence. Even the soft jazz music seemed to pause, as if the universe itself was holding its breath to witness this moment.
All eyes turned to our impromptu theater. Women craned their necks to get a better view. Men lowered their phones to stare. The bartender froze mid–pour, his mouth hanging open in shock
Ketty and Taylor stared at me in shock. They were shocked by my audacity, clearly never expecting me to do such a thing
And they were right
But when someone who has never lost their mind finally snaps, they can strike fear into everyone around them.
Even Scarlett, standing behind me, didn’t say a word. I could feel her staring at me as if she were seeing a complete stranger, someone who had borrowed my face but possessed an entirely different soul.
I looked at them with a cold smile, watching their shocked expressions, feeling a savage sense of satisfaction that I had never experienced before. The feeling was intoxicating, like mainlining pure adrenaline directly into my bloodstream.
“What?” I asked, my voice carrying clearly across the silent bar. “Disappointed? I didn’t get to drink your special cocktails! Now you can try it!”
Ketty finally snapped out of her stupor and started yelling at me, her voice shrill with indignation. “You crazy woman! Do you know how much this dress cost? I’m going to sue you and make you pay for it!”
“I’m just doing to you what you intended to do to me,” I said. “You call me cruel? What are you? Eat shit!”
Since I had already lost my mind, I was going to make up for all the swear words I hadn’t said in the past twenty- nine years.

I continued, “Taylor, does your new family know about this? But they probably knew what you were like when they bailed you out of prison. What about Helen? Did you leave your mother in prison?”
Taylor looked uncomfortable. “She’s not my mother!”
I shook my head, feeling pity. It seemed that Helen’s efforts for Taylor had been in vain. She didn’t want to admit that she had such a mother anymore.
“Taylor,” I said. “Since you’ve inherited such a luxurious business empire, focus on learning something useful. You pay too much attention to men, and it makes you look stupid.”
Then I turned to Ketty, who had been standing there like a deer caught in headlights, probably hoping that she could somehow escape this confrontation unscathed.
“And Ketty,” I continued, my voice taking on a slightly mocking tone, “if you love Taylor, be brave and say it out loud. Maybe use the medicine you prepared today on yourselves, and your dreams will come true.”
Ketty’s face went pale beneath her ruined makeup. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Really?” I stepped closer, It’s insane that you would participate in something so vile just to help your girlfriend get revenge.”
“She’s not my girlfriend,” Ketty protested.
“No? Then what is she? Your boss? Your inspiration? Your unrequited love?”
Ketty’s face flushed red. “I don’t have to listen to this.”
I turned back to Taylor, who was still dripping gin. “You want to know what I realized tonight, Taylor? I realized that you’re not my enemy. You’re not even my equal. You’re just… sad.”
“Sad?” Taylor’s voice cracked slightly.
“Pathetic, really. You’ve spent your entire life trying to be me. Trying to have what I have. Trying to take what I love. And even now, even with all your money and your new identity and your fake engagement, you’re s
obsessed with me.”
“I’m not obsessed with you,” Taylor snarled.
“No? Then why are you here?”
Taylor didn’t answer.
“I’ll tell you why,” I continued. “Because your new life is as fake as everything else about you. Because even with all that money, you’re still empty inside. And that’s what really bothers you, isn’t it? That all of this–the prison time, the fake identity, the inheritance, the engagement–none of it will ever fill the hole where your soul should be.”
“Stop it. I could ruin you,” Taylor said, but her voice was weak now.
I laughed. “Go ahead. Try.”

Ketty grabbed Taylor’s arm. “We should go,” she whispered urgently.
Taylor jerked away from Ketty’s grip. “This isn’t over.”
“You’re right,” I said. “It’s not. Because now I know you’re back. Taylor, you will regret this.”

Taylor and Ketty finally turned and fled, pushing through the crowd toward the exit. The bartender had disappeared completely, probably to call his lawyer or his therapist.
Scarlett appeared at my side, her face flushed with excitement. “Mla Williams,” she breathed. “Oh. My. God. That was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
“Was it?” I asked.
“Are you kidding? Fuck, are you still Mia Williams?”
“Scar, I seem to have argued too many times this week. I can argue with anyone in the world now.”
