“Oh, you mean that!” Boyd started the car, sounding positively animated. “I’m not sure if they’ve actually gotten back together, but last night, Emma got kicked out by the Windsor family. At first, she stayed at some cheap motel. Then, around two in the morning, Micah showed up, picked her up, and brought her back to his own place.”
Ivy’s expression was impossible to describe.
Micah really was born without a lick of common sense.
“But this morning, my aunt–well, Micah’s mom–showed up with a couple of people and threw Emma out again. Word is, Emma left in tears, covering her face. She probably got slapped around a bit.”
Hearing that, Ivy suddenly understood.
“No wonder she called me at noon, screaming her head off and cursing me out.”
So she’d been chewed out again, just as Ivy suspected.
Boyd glanced at her in the rearview mirror, a look of concern and confusion on his face. “Wait, what do you mean? Emma called you again?”
“Yeah. She must have figured I was the one who told Micah’s mom where to find her, so she used a new number to call and completely lost it on me.”
Ivy shrugged it off with a little laugh./
As if she had nothing better to do than tattle.
Besides, things were awkward enough between her and Carla–they barely even spoke when they saw each other. Why on earth would she go out of her way to stir up trouble?
Boyd looked a little anxious. “Are you okay, Ivy? Whatever she said, just ignore it, alright?”
“Don’t worry about me. I’m/not that thin–skinned. I was just confused until now. Thanks to you, I finally get what happened.”
“Yeah, I always keep Uncle Jamison updated on whatever Emma’s up to. I’m guessing he told my aunt, and that’s why she went over there.”
“Makes sense. I can’t really blame Jamison. After all, Micah’s his nephew, and he’s just looking out for family. He did the right thing by letting Carla know.”

Chapter 541
And since she and Jamison were basically a team, It wasn’t exactly unfair for Emma to take her anger out on Ivy.
If anything, Ivy felt a little vindicated.
Carla’s actions had, in a roundabout way, done her a favor.
“So, where’s Emma staying now? She’s not actually out on the street, is she?” Ivy asked, curiosity piqued.
Boyd replied, “She’s checked into a budget hotel. Pretty sure Micah gave her some money.”
Ivy let out a cold laugh. “Idiot. The two of them really are a perfect match.”
Maybe it was better if they were stuck with each other–serves them right.
But the real problem was, Emma was still Sheridan’s fiancée, and everyone knew she was pregnant. If Micah kept getting involved with her now, he was just asking for trouble.
