Chapter 132
With fury surging through me like a tempest, I stormed across the cafeteria. My heart pounded, and in the depths of my mind, I could feel Mona’s rage igniting, her frustration manifesting as she snarled and snapped at the empty air around us.
I approached Kairos’s table with a singular focus, the weight of my anger propelling me forward. With a forceful motion, I slammed one of the incriminating papers down onto the surface, sending his food flying in a chaotic spray. The sight of his meal splattered across the table seemed almost satisfying, a small victory amidst the storm of my emotions. Slowly, he lifted his gaze to meet mine, his stony, golden eyes reflecting a calm that only fueled my ire.
“What the hell!?” I shouted, my voice rising above the din of the cafeteria. “How dare you?!”
“What now?” he replied, his tone dripping with nonchalance, as if my fury was nothing more than a mild inconvenience.
“Don’t you dare ‘what now’ me, you arrogant jerk!” I slammed my palm down again, this time right on top of the naked photo of me, the humiliation of it all crashing over me like a wave. “You’re behind this, aren’t you?”
“In case you’re not aware,” Kairos drawled, pushing the photo away from him with a casual flick of his fingers, “I can’t exactly waltz into the women’s locker room.”
Across from him, Petyr erupted into laughter, and I felt my anger shift, redirecting toward him like a heat-seeking missile. Another chuckle erupted from the side, and I turned to see another male Alpha lingering near Kairos. He was a second-year student, a face I recognized but knew little about.
“Now we understand why Maximus hasn’t been hanging out with us, fellas,” he chortled, tapping the photo of me with a smirk. It felt as if his filthy fingers were brushing against my skin, igniting a new wave of disgust. “Ditched us for a good pair of tits!”
With a surge of indignation, I yanked the paper from his grasp, my heart racing as Petyr continued to snicker along with him. Oddly enough, Kairos remained silent, and I could feel the weight of his guilt pressing down on me. He was the mastermind behind this humiliation, just as he had been on that wretched first day of school.
