Chapter 105
The crowd stared at Giovani in disbelief. They knew the truth behind the scenes, but without evidence, no one dared to point fingers at him.
Rumors of Giovani’s ruthlessness had circulated for years, but seeing it firsthand was a whole different story. The whispers they’d heard before were nothing compared to the chilling reality before them. Deep down, everyone silently warned themselves–never cross this man,
Giovani raised his head slightly, his cold, piercing gaze sweeping across the hall like a blade.
Instantly, every head lowered. No one dared to meet his eyes, terrified that even a fleeting glance might bring disaster.
At that moment, they understood one thing–Giovani, the man at the top of the Campbell family, was not someone people would ever want to cross.
Giovani’s expression remained cold as he waved his hand lightly, his calm tone carrying an undeniable authority. “Take them away. Send them back to Northeville.”
The bodyguards immediately stepped forward, dragging Robin and Joshua out of the hall like sacks of garbage.
Robin’s frail body slid across the floor, leaving a shocking trail of blood, while Joshua stared blankly into the void, offering no resistance. Their figures gradually faded from everyone’s view.
The hall was suffocatingly silent. Every single eye in the room seemed magnetically drawn to Agnes and William, who were still pinned to the floor by the bodyguards.
Agnes had only been punished with a shaved head–a relatively light sentence in the grand scheme of things—but terror was washing over her in waves, threatening to drag her under completely.
Her heart pounded violently, as if it might burst out of her chest at any moment. Each breath she took was shaky, trembling with the weight of her terror.
Agnes had just messed up Camila’s hair, and Giovani had already ordered her head shaved on the spot. But she had done far crueler things to Camila. If Giovani ever found out, she knew she’d be totally screwed.
The more Agnes thought about it, the more her fear spiraled out of control. Her body trembled uncontrollably, and her teeth began to chatter.
What truly pushed her to the brink of despair was a shocking realization–Lindsey, the guest of honor today, was the very same elderly woman who had once stood by Camila’s side in Emily’s hospital room.
Agnes didn’t dare lift her head to meet Giovani’s gaze. She was terrified of what she might see in his cold eyes—her fate, sealed and inescapable.
Images of brutal punishments flashed through her mind: fingers severed, stripped bare, limbs broken, teeth shattered, and so on. Each image made her skin crawl. She prayed desperately in her heart, ‘Please, not me‘
William looked just as pale. Sweat soaked through his shirt, clinging to his skin and outlining his disheveled, defeated figure.
Ever since taking over the family business, William had built a reputation as a cutthroat leader. He saw himself as a master of corporate warfare–finding weak spots and striking without mercy. In Sancho’s business world, he was a force to be reckoned with.
But now, standing in Giovani’s shadow, William was hit with the harsh realization that his so–called strategies were nothing more than child’s play.
He thought, ‘Giovani is a madman–a cold, calculating, and terrifyingly meticulous one. He can destroy someone completely while keeping his own hands spotless.’

Chapter 105
Giovani walked forward, the sharp click of his leather shoes on the floor echoing like a hammer striking everyone’s heart.
He stopped in front of Agnes and William, looking down at them like they were nothing more than bugs under his shoe.
The hall was so silent one could hear the pounding of their hearts. Everyone’s eyes were locked on Giovani, barely breathing, waiting to see what he’d do next.
With a cold smirk, Giovani gracefully pulled out his phone and dialed the police. His voice was deep and steady. “Hello, is this the police? I’d like to report a robbery. Agnes Jackson, the heiress of Jackson Group, stole an embroidery worth 7 million dollars from me.
When those words came out, the crowd was stunned into silence.
Robbery was a serious offense, carrying a sentence of three to ten years in prison. And with the embroidery valued at 7 million dollars, the punishment would undoubtedly be harsher. The crowd buzzed, their gazes darting to Agnes, filled with shock and sympathy.
Agnes froze. Her face turned deathly pale, and she couldn’t stop thinking about the horrors Camila had endured in prison.
‘If I end up behind bars, with the Campbell family’s influence and Giovani’s ruthless nature, killing me there would be like snapping a twig, she thought.
“No! Please!” Agnes screamed, thrashing wildly, but the bodyguards pinned her down effortlessly.
Tears streamed down her pale cheeks, her voice trembling with fear. “Mr. Campbell, I didn’t mean it. I’ll pay you back. Just call my parents–they’ll send the money right away. Please don’t send me to prison. I’m begging you.”
Giovani acted as if he couldn’t hear her. Instead, he turned to Camila, his gaze softening in an instant. The cold man from moments ago seemed to vanish. “Does this make you happy?” he asked gently.
Camila stared at him, stunned. Suddenly, she realized Giovani wasn’t just punishing Agnes; he was giving Agnes a taste of her own medicine while seeking justice for Camila.
Camila’s painful memories of being bullied and wrongfully imprisoned by Agnes began to fade, replaced by the warmth of Giovani’s protection.
Her eyes turned red, and tears brimmed as she tried to speak, but the words just wouldn’t come. In the end, all she could manage was a soft, tearful “Yeah.”
William’s eyes bulged with rage, glaring at Camila as if accusing her of being heartless for treating Agnes this way.
He tried to speak, but the sock stuffed in his mouth reduced his words to muffled grunts.
Desperation took over, and he began thrashing violently, nearly overpowering the two bodyguards holding him down. Turner frowned, his patience wearing thin. Without hesitation, he delivered a sharp kick to William’s stomach.
The blow was brutal. William let out a muffled groan, his body curling up as he convulsed in pain. Cold sweat poured down his face like rain.
Giovani’s eyes were pure ice as he slowly nudged William’s chin up with his shoe, forcing him to look directly at him. His voice was cutting as he said, “You’re Agnes’s accomplice. Prison is waiting for you too.”
Instantly, William’s eyes widened with panic.
Camila stood there, watching everything unfold silently. Seeing William’s fear only deepened her disgust. She thought bitterly, ‘So, he does know what it’s like to be afraid, and he is well aware that prison wasn’t a place for a good time.
Back then, I had been falsely accused and spent five years in prison. He knew I was innocent and still turned a blind eye. He

refused to listen to me, choosing instead to deceive himself. Over time, he even convinced himself I was guilty and Agnes was innocent.
‘Since he’s so determined to protect Agnes, let them both rot in prison and experience it together.
Shortly after, the police arrived.
Giovani exchanged a few quiet words with the lead officer, then gestured toward Agnes and William, who were slumped on the floor.
The officers immediately stepped forward and snapped handcuffs onto the two.
“No, I won’t go to jail!” Agnes screamed, thrashing wildly and kicking her legs in desperation. But it was all futile. The officers hauled her up, her cries echoing through the grand hall.
Camila’s mind flashed back to five years ago. Back then, there was another lavish party filled with elites, and she was dragged away in handcuffs. She had pleaded desperately, “It wasn’t me! Agnes pushed-”
Before she could finish, Belinda’s hand struck her face with a sharp slap. “You heartless wretch, you did something wrong and now you’re trying to pin it on Agnes? Arthur and I saw it—it was you.”
Agnes had stood smugly behind Belinda, her gaze dripping with mockery, as if to say, “So what if you’re the real heiress? You’ll still have to take the fall for me.”
At that time, Agnes had been so smug. But now, her head was shaved, her makeup was smeared with tears, and her face was a total mess–she was almost unrecognizable.
Five years ago, Agnes had been the star of her graduation party, the cherished little princess of the Jackson family. But now, the tables had turned–she was taken away in handcuffs.
William was in the grips of the police, and they had removed the socks from his mouth. As he walked by Camila, he looked disappointed and said, “How did you become someone like this? You’ve really let me down. Don’t think I’ll forgive you that easily.”
