Recognizing the voice, Giovani said flatly “Let him in”

No sooner had the words left his mouth than the villa door was pushed open. Michael strode in, clutching a thick folder, his eyes darting around the room urgently. “Where’s Camila?” he called out, impatience in his voice.

“Dr. Walker, Ms. Jackson is still resting, Hazel explained.

“Hazel, wake her up. It’s urgent, Michael insisted.

Hazel hesitated, glancing at Giovani, silently seeking his approval.

Giovani’s cold gaze locked onto Michael. “If this is about the Jackson family’s bankruptcy, you can leave. I’ll deal with it when the time comes,” he said in a low, commanding voice.

Michael bristled at Giovani’s domineering tone. Every time they met, Glovani’s presence was overpowering, his aura of power hard to ignore. Michael had met a lot of influential people in Sancho, but Glovani–young, wealthy, and radiating an almost suffocating charisma–was in a class of his own.

In the past, Michael had thought William and Harry were the top dogs among Sancho’s younger generation. But compared to Giovani, they were miles behind.

Michael raised his chin defiantly “You’re the one who caused the Jackson family’s bankruptcy, aren’t you?” he challenged. After a pause, he added, “Aren’t you worried Camila will hate you for it?”

The moment those words left his mouth, the atmosphere in the living room changed. Giovani, Turner, Keira, and Hazel all turned to Michael, their gazes heavy with unspoken meaning.
