“Not interested. Take them back with you,” Jessical said coldly. Stepping aside, she pointed firmly toward the door. “You can leave now”

Brian’s smile froze on his face, and he stared at her in silence. Meanwhile, Jessica met his gaze without flinching. “Brian, your recent behavior has seriously disrupted my life, and I don’t appreciate that.”

She couldn’t let him keep interfering like this–otherwise, she’d be the one left hurt in the end.

“You really don’t like it?” Brian challenged.

To her surprise, he didn’t retreat in hurt as he did before. Instead, he closed the distance between them in a few decisive strides, his deep–set eyes locking onto her with an intensity that gave her no chance to escape.

Jessica’s heart skipped a beat, but she forced herself to stand her ground and said coldly, “That’s right, I don’t like it. Brian, stop fooling yourself. I don’t need your so–called compensation at all.”

Without waiting for a response, she shoved him away forcefully and snapped, “Get the hell out! I don’t want to see you.”

But with a swift sidestep, Brian blocked her in, trapping her between the door and the wall.

“You!” Jessica’s eyes widened in shock.

“Try this,” Brian said simply. Suddenly, a piece of dessert, rich and fragrant, was pressed against her lips. Only then did she realize he hadn’t come empty–handed.

“No-” she tried to protest, but he took advantage of her open mouth and slipped the dessert inside.

Jessica wanted to spit it out, but when the rich, sweet taste of the strawberry burst in her mouth, she found herself instinctively chewing on it.

‘Damn, this is really good,‘ Jessica admitted inwardly.

Brian caught her tiny, reluctant reaction, and a playful glimmer lit up his eyes as he mused inwardly, ‘How adorable.

“Jessi,” he said gently, “I still have work back at the office. I’ll get going. Don’t let me keep you.” Instead of pushing further, Brian chose to withdraw gracefully, giving her space and her pride intact.

And just like that–after being forcibly pulled close and having a piece of cake shoved into her mouth–Jessica could only watch that bastard walk away with maddening composure, her whole body practically shaking with rage.

“Bastard!” she hissed through gritted teeth, but when she turned and saw the desserts still sitting on the coffee table, she pressed her lips together, unable to bring herself to toss them into the trash in the end.

Meanwhile, as soon as Sana finished her work and heard that Brian had shown up, she dashed over, terrified that he’d corner Jessica while no one else

was around.

But when she burst in, there was no sign of Brian. Instead, she found Jessica calmly enjoying the dessert, and she blinked in surprise.

Jessica swallowed the mouthful of dessert and looked up at Sana, who had just barged in. “Is

“Jessi, has Mr. Atkinson left?” Sana asked cautiously, noticing that her mood didn’t seem too bad.

“Yeah. Why? You wanted to see him?” Jessica nodded, asking offhandedly.
