Three Years Wasted I Married Mr. Right novel Chapter 106

Chapter 106

Sophia saw the fleeting jealousy on Emily’s face and knew her thoughts. Emily was extremely narcissistic, believing she was irresistible and that all men should be captivated by her.

She walked over, her fingers just about to touch Richard’s sleeve, but he smoothly sidestepped her, making it look effortless.

Emily’s eyebrows twitched briefly before she shot Richard a flirtatious glance. “Mr. Sterling, since you know my sister, we kind of know each other as well. How about I treat you to a nice meal?”

Richard hadn’t even opened his mouth when Harley butted in. “Sorry, Ms. Evans, but Mr. Sterling is seriously allergic to green tea types.”

Emily instantly understood the dig. Everyone here was quick–witted, and she wasn’t dumb either.

Her cheeks turned red, but seeing the handsome man right in front of her, she forced a smile and said, “Mr. Sterling, I know a great restaurant nearby. It’s got a nice vibe.”

Richard didn’t spare Emily so much as a glance. He just gave the sales associate the order, “Except for the clothes this lady tried on, pack everything else up in Ms. Sophia Evans’s size.”

The sales associate beamed, practically glowing with delight. Richard was personally adding to her sales record. “Of course, Mr. Sterling. May I trouble Ms. Evans to leave the address? We’ll package everything and deliver it to you.”

Richard just smiled, “You saved my father and brought back flavors from his memories. That’s more than enough reason.”

Sophia shook her head. “It was no big deal, seriously. I wasn’t hoping for any reward.” Besides, Richard had already done plenty for her by letting her stay at his place for half a month to recover from her injuries.

“Ms. Evans, money’s nothing to me. Honestly, if spending it makes you happy, that’s the whole point,” Richard said with cool confidence.

Sophia was left speechless. She thought to herself, ‘Great, let him show off. But he certainly had the means to do so. After all, he was a super–rich tycoon.

Yadel Group had been buried in scandals lately, so they were banking on the new regenerating cream to turn their reputation around.

Sophia had to outpace the Yadel Group’s R&D Department and crack the formula first. Once she did, she’d have sole control over whether the regenerating cream ever saw the light of day.

Half an hour later, the car pulled up at the industrial park. Sophia paid the driver and stepped out. After she swiped her card and entered the industrial park, a black sedan quietly parked by the side of the road.

Inside the car, the bodyguard called Lucas to update him on Sophia’s movements.

Just then, Lucas had finished a grueling meeting and returned to his office. Hearing from his bodyguard, he frowned, “She didn’t go with Richard?”

“No, they’re not together. Mrs. Westwood booked a ride–share,” the bodyguard replie
