Chapter 177
[So this skin regeneration tech is a collab with a meat factory, huh? That pork is straight–up moldy who in their right mind would rub that on their face?]
Once Billy realized the footage was all wrong, he had the screen shut off at lightning speed and went into overdrive trying to put out the fire.
No wonder he was the founder of Yadel Group–dude was so slick with his words one couldn’t pick out a ingle slip–up.
But then, as soon as the models started applying the new product live on stage, the whole scene instantly turned into a disaster.
As soon as the models smeared the regenerating cream, their cheeks flared up, turning red and itching like mad. They powered through the catwalk, then rushed off, desperately hunting for the emergency spray.
The whole product launch had turned into a circus, but Billy tried to save his reputation by pulling off a live demo on the spot.
But then disaster struck three times in a row–the demo completely backfired, throwing the regenerating cream into the headlines and right at the center of public outrage.
After the launch ended, Billy was so furious that he trashed his office, smashing everything to pieces.
“Where’s Linda? I want her in my office–right now!” he barked at his staff.
Linda had personally vouched for the regenerating cream’s lab data, guaranteeing that nothing could go wrong.
He recalled that Sophia had also helped develop the formula for skin regeneration, and once the product was ready, they’d even run user trials–there was never supposed to be any risk of someone’s face getting ruined.
He figured, ‘Even if the regenerating cream wasn’t as incredible as all that marketing hype, at worst it would just turn out mediocre–not a total disaster.‘
But the flurry of screw–ups at the launch caught him totally off guard.
Taylor from the R&D department stammered, “After the launch, Dr. Lynn just vanished–no one’s seen her since.”
Billy was shaking with rage. “Are you telling me she skipped town because she knew she messed up?”
Taylor couldn’t meet his gaze. “M–maybe. When she gave me the formula for skin regeneration, I thought something wasn’t right with the data.
“I told her about it, and she said she’d shoulder the blame if things went south. Never figured she’d actually bolt once everything blew up.”
Billy was so furious that his chest ached and the room started spinning. “Get the PR manager up here–now!”
Chapter 177
Taylor stammered out a quick “Yes, sir” and bolted from the CEO’s office, looking like he couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
Lucas was standing outside the door, looking like a drowned rat–disheveled and pitiful
“So, how did it go?” Lucas asked.
Taylor looked at him, but the words just wouldn’t come. After a disaster this big, what was there left to sayt
It looked like Yadel Group’s days were numbered.
Taylor was already thinking about jumping ship. ‘Should I call Dr. Evans right now can I still make it he wondered.
Taylor shook his head. “Mr. Westwood, this is a total disaster. With our reputation already tanking, honestly. things aren’t looking good.”
Lucas snapped before he could finish. “Spare me the doomsaying! No need to freak everyone out.”
Taylor just stared at the pompous, clueless successor–then kept his mouth shut and walked away.
After hours of emergency meetings, Yadel Group’s official account scrambled to post an urgent statement.
The brand claimed their regenerating cream could cause breakouts or irritation for some users-“depends on your skin type,” basically.
The PR squad’s legendary blame–dodging move sparked instant rage online, and the comments section got totally roasted. It meant, “Looks like your face just isn’t elite enough for our cream.”
That put Yadel Group right back in the hot seat.
The whole internet threw a meme party, photoshopping the regenerating cream into a pile of green slime. The brand’s reputation tanked to absolute zero.
Billy was so livid that he ended up having a heart attack and got rushed straight to the hospital. The shareholders wasted no time kicking him and Lucas out of the top spots in management.
That was when Lucas finally realized he was in deep trouble.
Right before slipping into a coma, Billy barked out one last order–Lucas had to get Sophia back, no matter what it took.
Because now, Sophia was their only hope–the one person who could save Yadel Group, and the entire Westwood family.
After all this time, Sophia finally got to call the shots in her own divorce–the tables had turned, and she was the one in charge now.
