Three Years Wasted I Married Mr. Right novel Chapter 230

Chapter 230

Annabelle was already imagining the wedding bells ringing, but things were completely quiet at the Sterling residence.

Richard was a young, impulsive man, and the woman he loved was right there in his bed.

If he stayed in the bedroom any longer, he wasn’t sure he could keep his thoughts in check.

Especially after taking the medicine, a restless heat surged through him, making him feel all kinds of unsettled.

Seeing Sophia lying there, he couldn’t help but think of her as a juicy little cabbage-he just wanted to take a bite.

Afraid he couldn’t keep his desire under control, he awkwardly fled the bedroom.

Jason was coming down the hallway when he noticed something was off about Richard.

“Mr. Sterling, are you alright? You’re flushed-are you feeling feverish?” Jason asked.

Richard’s lashes trembled. “Jason, I was just about to ask-what kind of medicine did you have sent up to me?”

After he drank it, he felt so hot all over that he nearly lost control.

Jason’s eyes flickered, and he shot a glance toward the master bedroom.

“I saw you brought a woman home, and since it looked like your first time-hey, you know how it is, guys usually kinda flop on their first try.

“Didn’t want you to feel embarrassed, so I asked someone to buy those pills for you,” Jason said.

Richard muttered, “Gee, thanks.”

Jason thought, feeling slighted, ‘Why does it sound like he’s taking a jab at me?’

“Mr. Sterling, where are you headed?” Jason hustled after him, sticking close.

Richard said, “To the study. Bring me a pitcher of ice water-lots of ice.”

Seeing how restless Richard was, Jason whispered, “Seriously, man, she’s right there in your bed. Why are you holding back?”

Richard suddenly stopped and shot Jason a fierce look.

“Do I look like the kind of guy who takes advantage of someone when they’re down?” Richard snapped.

Sure, Richard had those thoughts about Sophia, and deep down, he worried he might lose his head and do something he’d regret.

On the wall directly across from the bed hung a family photo of Edmund, his wife, and their three sons.

Richard looked ridiculously young in that snapshot-probably just barely in his twenties, brimming with that boyish charm.

Sophia got out of bed, put on her slippers, and stood before the family photo.

There was Richard, Edmund, and also a guy with his arm casually draped over Richard’s shoulders-a little older, dressed head-to-toe in camouflage.

That was Edward, the guy she’d bumped into back in Ginkgo Town

‘Now it made sense why Richard, with his statu, would bunk with Edward-they’re actually brothers, Sophia realized.

‘Wait, does Annabelle know about this? she wondered

Three rhythmic taps sounded on the door.

After those three knocks, the bedroom door slowly opened from ther outside, and a tall, imposing figure stepped into the room.

Sophia looked up, meeting his gaze-those eyes impossibly deep

Richard walked over, his voice low and a little husky. You’re up? How did you sleep?
