‘Was it Sophia?
‘Or did he hook up with some other woman?’
The more Emily thought about it, the more restless she got. She tried calling Sophia, but realized she'd been blocked.
She borrowed the maid's phone and dialed the number again—this time, Sophia actually picked up.
Emily, swallowing her fury, demanded, "Sophia, do you have any shame left? After all that drama with Lucas, you still go off and sleep with him—don't you have any dignity at all?"
Sophia instantly recognized Emily's voice and frowned. She snapped, “What the hell is wrong with you?"
Emily demanded, "Were you with Lucas last night? Seriously, do you have absolutely no shame?"
Sophia was doing her thing in the lab, masked up in a white coat, totally absorbed in her experiment.
Honestly, she had no clue what she'd done to deserve Emily going off like this.
Sophia shot back, "Shameless, aren't you? Cheating in someone else's marriage on one hand, getting all lovey-dovey with Lucas on the other.
Never seen anyone so gutsy about their reputation as you."
Emily was boiling over. She snapped, "If you hadn't slipped that stuff in our drinks, none of this crazy mess would've happened!
"This is all your fault, Sophia! You couldn't break up me and Lucas, so you went and pulled these dirty tricks to get him to hate me!
“Mark my words, Sophia—I'm not letting you win."
Sophia said coldly, "If you're crazy, go see a doctor. Don't come bothering me with your tantrums—I don't have time for your nonsense.”
