Three Years Wasted I Married Mr. Right novel Chapter 87

Fuming, he ordered Kevin to continue the search.

Soon. Kevin replied that Sophia had left the city, seemingly heading to Grace Abbey.

Lucas immediately sped toward Grace Abbey. Along the way, he instinctively glanced at his left wrist, where he used to wear

a bracelet.

It was said that Sophia had gone through great effort to get it at Grace Abbey, and Priest Augustine had blessed it.

He had been genuinely touched at the time and had promised that, even if he didn’t love her, he would treat her well. However, when Emily came along and wanted the bracelet, he handed it over without a second thought.

He suddenly recalled that the first time Sophia had stayed out all night was right after he had given the bracelet to Emily.

He wondered, ‘Is she going to Grace Abbey to get a new bracelet for me? If so, I would forgive her and continue to respect her as my wife.

When Sophia stepped out of the car, she sneezed several times and rubbed her nose.

Richard stood not far away. When he saw her get out of the car, his expression brightened.

Sophia wore a jacket similar to his but in a different color, paired with a white lace skirt. She looked like a beautiful lily just about to bloom.

Sophia quickened her pace toward Richard. She had just changed clothes in the car and felt a little embarrassed. “Mr. Sterling, shall we go?”

Richard stepped onto the stairs, and Sophia quickly followed. About 30 feet behind them, Harley carried a hiking backpack.

Sophia was used to walking quickly. When she was a child, her school was 3 miles from her foster parents‘ home. She had to leave at five every morning, walking for over an hour to reach school before the first class.

She had walked the same route for over ten years. Back then, it often felt endless, but when she grew up and retraced it, she realized it wasn’t long at all–she had just been too weak.

Richard frequently went to the gym for strength training, and in his free time, he would go hiking or rock climbing. Confident in his stamina, he initially worried that Sophia might struggle to keep up, so he deliberately slowed his pace.

They walked along a small path and arrived at the rest area.

the area was dotted with many other similar buildings.

Looking out from the rest area, one could see the sprawling clusters of buildings. At night, the entire place was said to glow with lights, resembling a fairytale castle in its breathtaking beauty.

“I came here last time before any of this had been developed,” Sophia said.

Richard asked curiously, “When was the last time you came here?”

His question caught Sophia off guard because the last time she had been here was to buy a bracelet as a gift for Lucas. She had heard that the bracelets from Grace Abbey carried special significance.

It had started drizzling when she was only halfway up, and by the time she got to the top, it was pouring rain.
