Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 394

“Yuri, I’ve thought about giving up before. I considered never showing up in front of Zinnia again. As long as she liked you, trusted you—if you treated her well and never hurt her—I wouldn’t fight you for her.”

Landon ground his teeth in frustration. “But now? Forget it. Even if I step aside, you’re not getting anywhere near her. I’ll never let someone like you stay by her side.”

With that, Landon finally released his grip on Yuri.

Yuri just laughed, his eyes glinting with a dangerous edge as he looked at Landon. “You really think I brought you here just to let you get in my way?”

Before Landon could make sense of Yuri’s words, a wave of dizziness hit him out of nowhere.

He barely had time to react when the ground beneath his feet began to shake violently.

Landon realized in an instant what was happening. “Earthquake!”

He shouted the warning and, without a second thought for anything else, bolted in the direction of Zinnia’s tent.

In Selvoria, years of war—first against outsiders, then civil strife—meant no one had time or resources to set up earthquake warnings. In a place already ravaged by conflict, who would ever expect a disaster like this?

“Zinnia!”

“Cozy!”

Both Landon and Yuri tore off toward Zinnia, panic driving them.

Suddenly, a massive boulder crashed down to their right. Rocks tumbled after it, piling up and blocking their path, one after another.

No one was prepared for this earthquake. Screams and shouts erupted everywhere.

It was as if a pair of giant hands ripped open the earth, leaving gaping cracks. Moments later, the ground heaved upward, tossing everything in its path. Abandoned buildings, already battered by war, swayed dangerously, tilting from side to side. The whole world seemed to spin and reel.

There was a muffled grunt—and then everything went black.

“Zinnia, are you okay?”

Landon’s voice trembled as it sounded right next to her ear.

Only then did Zinnia realize the weight that had pinned her down was Landon himself. They were buried together under a mound of debris.

The scene triggered a memory: the day she’d been trapped under an avalanche, left alone in the suffocating darkness.

But this time, she wasn’t alone. Landon was here.
