Too Late, Mr. Cooper: Your Bride Ran with Your Baby novel Chapter 331

Liliana sniffled, her nose still red from crying, and a wave of exhaustion washed over her.

The tears had drained her completely. She sat stiffly in the chair, her expression blank. Her voice, usually soft, was now a hoarse, airy whisper.

She choked out the words, her voice barely audible, "Go... just go..."

Linton looked at her, his heart clenching. He remained silent for a moment before reaching out and pulling her into his arms. He leaned down, his gaze full of tenderness and regret, and gently kissed her forehead, murmuring softly to soothe her.

"Alright, Liliana. I'll get out of your hair now. You're too worked up. You're tired. You should get some sleep." He continued, his voice a low caress, "When you wake up, baby, just try to forget all this. Don't let your mind run wild. Just focus on taking care of yourself, for the baby..."

He didn't dare provoke her further, holding her as if she were the most precious thing in the world.

Fortunately, Liliana truly was too drained to fight back. She had no strength left to struggle. After the storm of tears, a deep, sorrowful fatigue had settled in. Her eyes were heavy, struggling to stay open. She remained quiet in his arms, turning her face away so she wouldn't have to look at him, and let her eyes drift shut.

Linton looked down at her, and with a fresh pang of tenderness, placed another chaste kiss on her temple. "Alright, Liliana," he coaxed. "Let me take you to bed. You need to rest. Have sweet dreams."

He carefully lifted the small, fragile woman in his arms, carried her to the bed, and gently laid her down, pulling the covers over her.
