Chapter Forty-Three
It was about four pm when Asli loaded her gun. Whoever spiked her drink was going to die tonight. So help her God, she was going shoot him in his balls and then cut them for him to eat while she watched him choke on them.
The brutal image flashed in her mind and a wicked grin formed on her lips shortly.
She left the house and Ruth watched her closely. Asli had returned home after her show and taken a quick nap. She was no longer breaking down.
"Thanks for the food," was this the first time she had said that to Ruth? The woman looked like she had given her a million dollars or nineteen cows. Her smile was wider than usual and oh what was that? Ruth had opened her arms and was about to hug her when she pulled away from her seat quickly.
"Thank you!" The smile wouldn't leave the older woman's face. "I've been thinking..."
"Keep thinking." Asli defensively uttered knowing she would ask about her breakdown from the morning.
"About the guy you told me about," Ruth continued anyway. That caught her attention. What was she going to ask about Ahmet? "Have you decided which side you want him on yet?"
"He and I can never be on the same side. He dies tomorrow." She saw a retired look flash on Ruth's face for only a short moment.
Asli left immediately before any words could be said.

This was the place where they had last held their meeting. Was it not yesterday? Or was it the day before yesterday? She wasn't sure. However, she was sure she was going to kill whoever spiked her water and those who thought it was a great idea.
Her eyes scanned the room, locking onto the familiar faces of some of the Mafia leaders she had met the last time. They were seated around the same table, their faces illuminated by the faint glow of cigars. For a moment, they seemed frozen in time, their eyes fixed on her with a mixture of fear and wariness. fre.eweb novel\.c om
