Chapter Forty-Seven
There was instant silence.
"Yes, boss." He answered and finally broke the silence. She nodded her head though the other person could not see her.
She disconnected the call while she was removing her shoes. Was his name, not Maxwell? The guy she shot by the ear. She was going to frame him for the robbery.
How dare he drug her water and blame it on Ahmet? The coward! She freshened up while taking her time on purpose.
In less than an hour, Asli's phone began ringing and just as she was expecting, it was her father calling her.
"Hello, sir." She immediately answered.
"I want you to find out who dared to rob me. They took away my laptop. Get it back before it gets into the wrong hands. Make sure to kill all these useless men I hired to escort me! However, leave the man who dared to steal what is mine. I'll kill him myself. Now!" He hung up before she could say anything. His voice was undeniably pissed and cold.
She left her room with a smile on her face. Just as she expected, her men did a clean job. She would assign them to handle plotting evidence against Maxwell. She would go to rescue the innocent children and women as the Midnight Reaper.
Once she stepped outside, Markus stood there with his arms locked together. She knew he was going to complain about her being late.
"Your father called me. He said you have a different assignment. You should have said so." He said while she wondered why he was still waiting for her if her father had told him that.
