Chapter Sixty Four
"I am off to see my father. Is he home at the moment?" She announced as she tried to leave the table. The pain she felt getting up was as equal as to when she sat or walked. Oh, she hoped the man would not notice.
"I can’t tell if he’s back or not, but I’m guessing he’s back in his suite because he had left with Markus. Since he is here, I am sure your father is back too." Matilda answered. fr.eew eb novel..com
"Let me get you an ointment before you go. It has been a long time since you used an ointment. The fight must have been intense." Her nanny went to one of the cabinets and pulled out the first aid box.
"I will do it myself." She quickly grabbed it from her hands and walked towards her bedroom.
This was getting awkward. She could not possibly stay here, could she?
Her father would see she was not actually sick. Her nanny would start asking questions and she did not know how long this pain would last.
She had nowhere to hide though there were plenty of properties they owned. Her father knew every one of them and she was sure he had guards everywhere.
Her warehouse had no beds and she did not want to waste any time purchasing one. She would have to clean the place for it to be suitable to lock herself in for days. Why had she not thought about it all?
She should focus on one at a time and first, she needed to make sure her adoptive father approved her leave first.
She could not also just go to him, he would tell her to deal with it. She could use some good rest too. Maybe she could send her Nanny to him.
She called Ruth into her bedroom to have the conversation since she did not want Markus to hear her.
"Is it that serious? Asli, why have you not said anything? You always endure things so I thought you would with this one too," now she was regretting telling Ruth. This woman was bad at perceiving things but rather good at exaggerating them.
She only just told her she needed some good rest but the woman was acting as if she had just told her she had few days to live.
"It’s just rest!" She yelled to silence her. "Pack some few clothes and put the bag in my blue car."
"You are leaving home?" Ruth resumed her questions.
"Yes."
"I’m coming with you!" She demanded and Asli shook her head. She did not even know where she was going. She wanted to be away from everyone.
"I will be working as well. It would not be safe for you." She said, dismissing whatever idea she was having.
"You said you were going to rest." She pointed out.
"Yes. Ruth, I will be working from home. You do not want the men bringing people here to torture them, do you?" She tried to scare her and she watched as her face changed to exactly what she was hoping to see. It excited her to see the fear in her eyes.
"No." The older woman shook her head. Perfect.
