Chapter Sixty-Seven
’All this damn while, it is with Ahmet!’ she almost yelled to herself.
The octopus plan detailed a secret underwater route for smuggling valuable goods, such as diamonds, gold, and rare artifacts.
Now, the organization that employed this route had lost the man in command of it, and it appeared that he did not inform any of his members how the operation was carried out. fre.eweb novel\.c om
Gideon knew who had drawn the scheme. Even though they had killed the architect, Gideon was capable of recovering items even if they were from the grave.
Those who had sent the commander with these items knew how much was stuck in there and contacted the organizations for help. Now, everyone knew about it and wanted to keep it for themselves... including herself and Ahmet. Now, they all needed a method to claim the items, even though they didn’t belong to any of them.
They all knew who to turn to. Gideon.
However, Gideon seemed to be selling it to the Mafia boss with the Highest bidding. But some of the Mafias decided to kill him so no one gets the plan if they were not going to get it themselves.
Ahmet on the other hand knew how much to bid, his being higher than those who were willing to bid, and ended up with the plan.
He raised his eyebrows at her who was angrily pacing the room. She would have stolen it if she knew it was in this room last night.
She needed the plan and he wasn’t going to give it to her freely. This was going to be a huge problem.
Was she protecting Gideon for nothing? She had to get some payments for doing that. Would Ahmet share whatever he found underground?
Should she seduce him? He’d clearly know what her intentions were. She was already limping if he had touched her, would she not have ended up in the ER?
Most importantly, she hadn’t even mastered the act of seduction yet. The funny part was, he was teaching her. This whole thing between them started off from that.
Threatening him wasn’t going to work. What would?
"The plan was never with Gideon, Asli." Ahmet decided to free her from her thoughts.
"What?" She was more than shocked to realize Gideon never had the plan. Why would anyone claim to have something that would kill them when they didn’t?
"I drew that plan... myself." He revealed and she almost laughed. If Ahmet drew that plan then he could draw a whole future for all Mafias. Was the plan not drawn by the wisest and oldest man on this planet? This didn’t make any sense.
"How?" She only managed to say.
"My secret." He replied and she rolled her eyes. Why did he say anything if he wasn’t going to tell her the whole truth?
Was he even telling the truth? Had she even ever believed him before?
"Did you kill him?" She meant the man smuggling the goods. Did it matter?
"No." He simply answered but she didn’t care about that answer. She just wanted real answers. How was he the one who drew that plan? If truly he did, then he was behind most of the layouts they were working with.
Also, if he had the plan and knew the plan, had he gone for everything?
"Have you transported everything?" She finally asked. It was all she needed to know. She was not going to fight for a lost cause anymore.
