Chapter 119
Inside the terminal.
I checked the time–there were still more than ten minutes before Adrian’s plane landed.
When I came out tonight, I specifically looked around and didn’t notice anyone following me, so I had the driver take me to the airport.
I thought the people Ferris had arranged would be resting at this late hour.
What I didn’t know was that Ferris had already come to the second floor of the airport, taking in everything around
Soon, eleven o’clock arrived.
I stood up and went to the exit area.
It was only then that Ferris understood I was here to pick someone up.
Shortly after, a group of people walked over, with a tall, upright man in their midst wearing cold–toned clothing, his face rebellious and handsome.
I waved at him.
Adrian quickened his pace and walked toward me.
“Why did you come alone? Where’s Dane?” His tone was full of concern.
“Dane watches over me during the day, so I let him rest at the hotel at night. He can’t keep sleeping in the car,” I replied.
“I’ll assign a few more people…”
Before Adrian could finish, I refused.
“No need, that would be too restrictive.”
I felt uncomfortable looking at the row of warriors behind Adrian.
“Alright, I’m back anyway.” Adrian’s eyes smiled.
“Yes, let’s go. My friend Cynthia is still waiting to meet you. She’s very curious about you. You don’t know–when I was leaving, she was dead tired but insisted on seeing you first before sleeping.*

Chapter 119
We walked and chatted happily.
Ferris saw all of this, his face as black as the bottom of a pot.
More than half an hour later.
Adrian and I finally arrived at Cynthia’s villa.
Before I could open the door, I heard a maid’s voice from inside.
“Miss Cynthia, put the cake here, this decoration looks the best…”
I couldn’t help but smile. Cynthia had lied to me about being too tired to go to the airport together–she was secretly preparing a birthday celebration for me.
“Looks like she’s going to be disappointed,” Adrian said beside me.
“Should we wait before going in?” I looked at him:
Adrian looked into my clear eyes, his throat catching: “Alright.”
The two of us just stood outside, enjoying the evening breeze.
“How have you been lately?”
“I’m okay, just want to leave this place sooner.”
“I understand.” Adrian looked down at me. “Don’t frown, everything will pass.”
I nodded.
Just as Adrian was about to give me what he had brought while we were alone together, he heard the door behind us open.
Cynthia stared at the man for a long time before reacting: “Hello, Mr. Adrian.”
“It’s nothing,” Adrian replied.
Cynthia was a bit embarrassed: “Right, right, let’s go in and sit.”
After entering, Cynthia pulled me aside: “I arranged a huge room for you two.”
I was confused: “Us?”
“Yes, there’s a three–meter–wide bed inside, you can do whatever you want.”
