Chapter 225
Third Person Perspective
Rest room.
Ferris pinched the bridge of his nose and asked Colton: “Where did you get those photos?”
When he was with Aurora, he would never let anyone take photos casually.
Colton didn’t hide it: “Surveillance footage.”
Ever since losing that one case, he would never fight a battle he wasn’t sure of winning.
Ferris was somewhat incredulous. So many photos during this time if they had to be obtained from surveillance, it would be quite an undertaking.
“I’m sorry, Miss, you can’t go in.”
“I’m not going in. Please ask Colton to come out, I need to see him.”
The voices of Cynthia and the bodyguard came from outside.
Colton stood up: “I’ll handle it.”
“Mm.” Ferris didn’t refuse.
He knew this man’s ambition – he would never give up an opportunity to make a name for himself for a woman.
This divorce lawsuit would definitely put both lawyers in the public eye.
“Slap!”
A crisp sound of a palm hitting flesh came from the corridor.
Colton stood still, not retaliating.
Cynthia’s hand trembled slightly as it slowly dropped.
“Is that enough?” Colton asked coldly.
Cynthia’s eyes were red–rimmed, her red lips parted: “As Ferris’s lawyer, don’t you know what kind of person he is? Do you know how miserable my friend’s life has been?”
“Ferris won’t touch Aurora, but Ferris’s mother Victoria still wants her to get pregnant, forcing her to take bag after bag of medicine, undergo all
kinds of tests.”
“That’s not enough – Aurora wholeheartedly likes him, but he’s always thinking about other women.”
“Ferris never laid a hand on Aurora, but what he did was more vile and shameless than hitting a woman!”
Cynthia counted Ferris’s wrongs one by one, hoping Colton would stand on the side of justice like he did in his youth.
Unfortunately, people change.
Colton coldly interrupted her: “Miss Everleigh, I’m just a lawyer, not the embodiment of justice. I only want to fulfill my duties.”
Cynthia’s vision was covered by a misty haze.
“But… but you once said you wanted to be a lawyer to help those poor people who couldn’t afford justice.”

Hearing this, Colton sneered Aren’t you being too naive?”
“What I said before was just to deceive innocent girls like you”
Wasn’t it all for the Everleigh family behind you? Since your father won’t are pt me, I don’t need to keep pretending.”
After saying this, under Cynthia’s shocked gaze, he left her with one final sentence.
“If you want to win, show your skills. Don’t think that shedding a few tears will make me go easy on you.”
