Chapter 240
Ferris’s heart tightened.
“You and she are husband and wife. As the old saying goes, couples may quarrel at the head of the bed but make up at the foot. I don’t care what conflicts you had before you should be with her, live together with her.”
Victoria knew the reason he was willing to divorce Aurora was because of his Blindness, and also because he didn’t know about her pregnancy.
She continued: “As a man, you should take good care of your wife and children I know that as my son, even if you can’t see, you won’t be mediocre.”
“I’ll have someone take you to Aurora’s place shortly. If you pamper her more she’ll definitely change her mind.”
Hearing Victoria’s words, Ferris clenched one hand tightly.
He was blind–even if he didn’t want to go, Victoria could force someone to take him there.
Moreover, he really missed Aurora, missed her terribly, wishing he could find her immediately.
Aurora’s Perspective
After renovating my old house, I returned to this quiet small town. Many of the neighbors had moved away, making it seem particularly desolate.
Shortly after moving in, I first received a lawyer’s letter.
Colton even came specifically to warn me: “Miss Aurora, spouses have the obligation to support each other. Alpha Ferris’s car accident caused him to lose his sight – this is when he needs care most. If you don’t fulfill your obligations, I will sue you on his behalf.”
I gripped the lawyer’s letter tightly.
“Did Ferris ask you to come?”
Colton told the truth: “No, it was Victoria. She hopes you can take good care of Ferris and do what a partner should do.”
“What if I don’t?” I asked back.
Colton smiled mockingly, his voice cold: “I still remember you admitting to adultery in court. If you don’t know me, you can ask Cynthia.”
“Cynthia knows my capabilities very well. I should be able to get you imprisoned for bigamy.”
“You wouldn’t really want to spend a few years in prison after giving birth, would you?”
While they were talking, an extended luxury car drove toward them.
Colton looked back toward the luxury car and saw Simon get out, followed by bodyguards and servants.
He said nothing more and left by car.
When Simon saw the run–down house outside, he couldn’t help but frown.
Ferris had lived a pampered life since childhood – how could he get used to living here?
I walked up to them. Not seeing Ferris, I asked Simon: “Simon, what’s this about?”
“The old lady asked me to have people bring all of Ferris’s clothes and belongings here,” Simon replied.
It seemed Colton was right – Victoria really planned to make me take care of Ferris, and if I didn’t, she would sue me.
My expression was cold: “Where’s Ferris?”

Chapter 240
“Ferris will arrive shortly,” Simon said, then supervised the people behind him preparing to move things inside.
“Wait!” I immediately stopped them. “Ferris can’t live here!”
Simon looked troubled: “The old lady said if you won’t let Ferris come live her, then please return to the villa to take care of him.”
“If you refuse to agree, I’m sure the lawyer made it very clear, right?”
