forehead.

Adrian followed me in, standing beside me.

Looking at Linus on the bed, a flash of pain crossed his expression, but he didn’t voice it, only saying quietly: “He’s changed a lot.”

I nodded, but my eyes felt sore.

“It’s been many years since his accident,” my voice was low, as if afraid of waking him, “and he still hasn’t woken up.”

“He’s very strong,” Adrian said quietly, “to have held on this long… he must be waiting for

you.”

Actually, Ferris’s amnesia was a relief to me, because I finally didn’t have to fear th would one day threaten me with Linus’s life.

At the elevator entrance, a cleaning cart happened to block the passage. The cleaning lady smiled warmly at us: “Sorry, excuse us. You young couple can hold hands and go around

the side.”

I was stunned and instinctively wanted to explain.

But Adrian didn’t hesitate at all, taking my hand with a hint of amusement in his voice: “She’s right.”

“You-” I glared at him quietly, my cheeks instantly heating up.
