Little Overlord Porridge Shop.
This was a porridge shop near Workers Stadium’s Center.
At this moment, Chen Dali looked at the few friends who had arrived, his expression stiff. "Li Xue, come over here with me."
Li Xue was one of the young women Chen Dali had invited to the bar. He had instructed Li Xue to invite another young woman as well, to be Lin Xiaoyun’s female companion. Li Xue did indeed bring another woman, but that woman came with a male companion; the two were obviously a couple.
Isn’t this just exasperating? Chen Dali thought. If he had been the one organizing this gathering, he might have grudgingly accepted such a situation. However, Luofeng was the host this time. This development was a clear slap in Chen Dali’s face.
Luofeng had also noticed the issue. But, as I was just thinking, we happened to be short two people, he mused. And now this? Isn’t this a case of a pillow appearing just when you’re feeling sleepy?
"What’s going on? What are you two whispering about?" Luofeng interjected, seeing Chen Dali was about to lose his temper with Li Xue. "A couple has arrived, isn’t that great?"
After speaking, Luofeng looked at Lin Xiaoyun and said, "Tonight, I’ll treat everyone to drinks. But as for this meal of porridge, you guys can figure it out!"
Lin Xiaoyun immediately chimed in, "I’ll get it, I’ll get it." For a bill of just a few hundred yuan, Lin Xiaoyun was naturally happy to cover it.
Luofeng then turned to Chen Dali. "Brother Dali, who is everyone? Please make some introductions. I’m new here and don’t know so many handsome men and beautiful women. But since they’re your friends, Brother Dali, they’re my friends too." Luofeng spoke with an air of camaraderie, showing Chen Dali plenty of respect.
Chen Dali’s expression softened considerably at this, and he immediately began the introductions.
The young woman he had asked Li Xue to invite was, well, Li Xue herself. She and Chen Dali weren’t a couple, but their interactions often resembled those of one. To put it simply, they were friends with benefits.
The three people Li Xue brought with her included a young man named Ma Jian. Like Luofeng, he was dressed in Gucci from head to toe, but his were mostly entry-level, basic items. Furthermore, his shoes looked somewhat dirty and worn. Could it be that this was his only pair of Gucci, worn all the time? Luofeng wondered.
The other two young women were named Su Linlin and Cao Lulu. Luofeng glanced at their "desire profiles." Su Linlin had a natural attractiveness score of 79; with makeup, she appeared to be around an 89. She was certainly enough to pique the interest of an average man. Cao Lulu’s actual score was 82, and with makeup, she exuded a bit of a goddess-like aura.
Of course, if they were to lie down and beg me, and if I were truly that desperate, I might consider it, Luofeng thought. They both have decent figures, after all.
For women, figure is paramount; facial features are just a bonus. A perfect figure combined with above-average looks, enhanced by makeup, would be considered a knockout by most men. Not to mention, add some black stockings and high heels, or Bai Si, JK uniforms, and the like, and a man’s appetite could be instantly aroused.
This is why Luofeng had once said that true beauties—genuinely true beauties—are actually rarer than millionaires. A perfect figure and striking looks are incredibly hard to find together. The reason one might think beautiful women are common is that many diet to stay slim, and then with makeup, they become quite appealing.
But am I in such a desperate situation? Luofeng pondered. If I were really that desperate, getting involved with Bai Ningbing might take some effort, but surely not too much, right?
"No, no, Brother Dali, it’s really no problem. We’re all friends here." Actually, Luofeng thought, a woman like Cao Lulu, as I just assessed, is someone I could ’partake of’ if I were truly famished. She might not be a main course, but she’d be a decent dessert. But I don’t need to. So, whether she came with a boyfriend or not, does it really make a difference to me?
"It’s not that..." Chen Dali wanted to say that Ma Jian was all show and no substance, but since Luofeng didn’t seem to mind, he decided to let it go.
