"I remember Uncle Wang has been to my house before, right?" Luofeng asked.
"Haha, of course! Last year, the year before last, and the year before that—I’ve visited each time. Your dad and I go way back, and your Jiamei has certainly helped our Ink Company a lot!" Wang Bozhao chuckled cordially. "Your family’s house really could use an upgrade!"
Ink Real Estate had a market value of just under 10 billion yuan. In terms of scale, it far surpassed the former Jiamei Construction Company. However, in this line of work, making friends wasn’t always about being opportunistic; or perhaps, people could see Luo Lin’s potential. A respected senior like him, given the right opportunity, was bound to achieve great success. After all, they had all made their fortunes around the same time. The reason Luo Lin’s progress hadn’t been slower was simply that he genuinely cared about his employees. And such a conscientious company just needed one big opportunity.
"Actually, it’s Jiamei that should be thanking you for your consideration!" Luofeng said politely.
"No need to say all that; we just help each other out!" Wang Bozhao laughed. "Come on, I’ll show you our company’s exclusive housing resources. What size of apartment are you interested in?"
"What’s the largest size you have here?" Luofeng asked.
"The largest, of course, is 520 square meters—a very auspicious number. Let me take you to Building One first!" Wang Bozhao said. "I think Building One is in an excellent location! It’s on the far eastern side, with a direct view of Forest Park!"
"Alright then, let’s go take a look!"
Soon, they arrived at unit 3401.
When buying a house, those who truly understood such things preferred higher floors. Of course, that was if you weren’t solely concerned with economic value, wondering if mid-rise apartments would be more valuable later. That line of thinking was purely about preserving value. Those who genuinely knew how to enjoy life didn’t think that way. Did wealthy people buy obscure car models without knowing their drawbacks? Of course not. They bought them simply because they liked a particular aspect of the car. Some armchair critics, those ’keyboard car experts,’ would argue that for such money, one should buy a different car. But they were just brand-obsessed!
On higher floors, the view was better; floor-to-ceiling windows offered an unobstructed panorama of the entire city. Worried about waiting for the elevator? Please. If you chose an expensive unit, there were more elevators. While this meant a larger common area allocation, they were high-speed elevators that could reach the thirtieth floor in the blink of an eye.
Luofeng quickly entered through the foyer. Wang Bozhao began his introduction, "This apartment is constructed entirely with eco-friendly materials, ensuring virtually zero formaldehyde residue. It features ten large en-suite rooms. The master bedroom and the primary guest bedroom also include walk-in closets. Additionally, there’s a study, a gym, a home theater, a maid’s room, a children’s room, and an integrated dining room and kitchen area."
In recent years, newly designed large flats had become quite luxurious. Private bathrooms for each room were almost standard. The focus was no longer on the size of the main living room or balcony, or the sheer number of bedrooms, as extended family visits had become less frequent. Instead, the emphasis was on personal living spaces having ample and convenient amenities.
"What about the price?" Luofeng asked after a brief tour of all the rooms, which took about fifteen minutes.
"Are you satisfied with the apartment?" When it came to sales, customer satisfaction with the property was paramount; if they weren’t satisfied, there was no point discussing the price.
"It’s quite nice!" Luofeng didn’t resort to the common tactic of deliberately finding fault with the apartment to negotiate a lower price later. There was no need for that.
"This is one of my exclusive units," Wang Bozhao stated. "The internal price is 22,000 yuan per square meter. With an area of over 500 square meters, the unit price comes to around 11 million yuan. The furnishings cost roughly 8 million yuan, design fees were over three hundred thousand, and with other miscellaneous expenses, the total comes to around 22 million yuan."
Luofeng nodded silently. The price is indeed high, he thought.

"A little more off, please!" Luofeng pressed. Even though I’m wealthy and have a cashback card, who says rich people can’t haggle?
A 50,000 yuan fuel card? That’s still money! This is definitely a win, Luofeng thought, feeling he had come out ahead.
