The next morning, Charlene and Helena set out for the cemetery.
On the gravestone, in the faded photograph, Old Mr. Ross’s hair was entirely white.
The Ross family had always looked young for their age.
When Sybil divorced all those years ago, Old Mr. Ross had been just over fifty, with barely a streak of gray in his hair.
Charlene remembered it clearly: less than a year after Sybil’s accident, his hair had turned completely white.
He’d died of illness.
It was only last year that Charlene learned his sickness was, in part, the result of years of heartache he’d never managed to let go.
If he hadn’t fallen ill, he might still be alive today.
Helena was the first to tear up, thinking of how, even in his final days, Mr. Ross never stopped worrying about his beloved Sybil; how, after all these years, Sybil still hadn’t managed to move on and start a new life, just as he’d hoped. Supported by Vernon, Helena knelt beside the grave and gently traced the photograph with trembling fingers. “Oh, my dear…”
She wanted to say that their precious daughter still hadn’t healed, that she hadn’t lived up to his hopes, that she was sorry. But when the words reached her lips, nothing came out. She just stroked the picture and let her silent tears fall.
Charlene’s eyes were red. She let go of Jasmine’s hand and turned her face away.
Sensing the heavy sadness in the air, Jasmine looked up at Charlene, bewildered. “Mom?”
Charlene shook her head gently, saying nothing.
It was more than an hour before they finally left the cemetery.
The Ross family still had a few close friends and relatives in the area.
Almost every year when Charlene came back, she and Helena would go visit them together.
Normally, news about the Hawkinses and Spencers wouldn’t mean much to Charlene or Helena.
But today, the Ross family was already feeling fragile.
As soon as Dowager Young mentioned the Hawkinses and Spencers, the room fell silent.
After a moment, Helena said softly, “I know.”
Dowager Young looked concerned. “I heard that future grandson-in-law of theirs comes from quite the family. When one person rises, everyone around them rises too. I just hope they won’t go to Starfall and start making trouble for you.”
For now, the Hawkinses and Spencers didn’t dare cross the Ross family.
But if Vesta really did marry Thorne, who could say what might happen then?

The readers' comments on the novel: Unknown Divorce Revelation Beyond Time (Charlene and Thorne)
It is now mind numbing excruciating and irritating in the Chinese version where Thorne is ambiguous and now openly again intimate with Vesta, she leans and mutters sweetly holding his arm! And her clan are viciously demeaning Charlene while Thorne is within hearing distance. There is no justice no reparations for Charlene. Utter disheartening this novel is now...
Thorne must have bashed his head somewhere....
Chapters 480 and on are repeat from previous chapters. What's up with that? Time to stop reading this novel....
Thanks for the update. Keep them coming please!...
Any hope for Vesta being brain-dead?...
Thanks PINKK889 for the info. The same version is also on You tube except dubbed in English and titled “ I divorced my husband who cheated now begging me to come back” Enjoy...
Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...
Stewart and Charlene will the best match, both power players!...
Can't wait to read where Charlene will start another relationship... God for is she gets back with Thorne... She needs to be with York or Gaylord (to annoy vesta) or granger (to annoy Thorne)...
I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
