The thought of so much money being made without them getting a cut was frustrating, but Forrest was just venting. As long as Thorne and Vesta were together, there would be other opportunities. Everyone at the table knew that.
Right now, they were more concerned with something else. According to the news, Thorne still had a lot to deal with and wouldn't be returning anytime soon.
Georgina Spencer voiced her concern. "You don't think he'll miss the end of the finalization window, do you?"
For the first time, Maureen looked genuinely worried. While she wasn't desperate, endless delays were not in their favor.
Katie turned to Vesta. "What did Thorne say?"
Vesta met her gaze. "He said he's not sure when he'll be back."
A wave of anxiety washed over the room.
"Well," Georgina sighed, "he'll surely come back as soon as he's done. Let's hope he makes it in time. There's still half a month left, after all."
Vesta lowered her eyes, saying nothing.

Charlene assumed Thorne would contact her about the divorce as soon as he was finished with his work. So, for the next several days, she simply went about her routine. Besides, she was incredibly busy herself and had little time to dwell on it.
By the time she looked up from her work, another week had flown by. There was now just over a week left in the finalization period.
She glanced at the time, then at Jasmine, who was playing a game on her tablet at the foot of the bed. "Minnie."
Jasmine looked up. "Yes, Mommy?"
Charlene hesitated. "Did your dad… say when he's coming back?"
[I will let you know the second my schedule is confirmed.]
The same old line.
Charlene set her phone down without replying. Thorne didn't message her again.
She didn't contact him after that, and he, presumably consumed by work, didn't contact her either.
And so, they reached the final day of their divorce finalization window.
When Charlene walked into the office that morning, Stewart knew instantly that nothing had changed. Seeing her somber mood, he tried to offer some comfort. "There's still time. Maybe he'll be back this afternoon."
Charlene hoped so. But she checked her phone countless times that day, and by the time five o'clock rolled around, there wasn't a single message from Thorne.

Gosh, this is excruciating ! The slow pace made me leave this for over 3 months. Was just taking a peek and not much development. Btw they have now made this into a 3hr 40 min long drama.Available on daily motion under, the name, next chapter without you. But all the other fringe characters such as York Granger Gaylord are missing in the movie. Ending is very satisfying, practical and apt. She chooses to leave thorne and jasmine and be with Stewart. Vesta and family are inter national wanted Criminals. Not sure if they replicate the same on here. As this book is now on the app for more than 9 months, have a feeling it'll be another 6 to 9 months before this is completed!...
Stewart and Charlene will the best match, both power players!...
Can't wait to read where Charlene will start another relationship... God for is she gets back with Thorne... She needs to be with York or Gaylord (to annoy vesta) or granger (to annoy Thorne)...
I know its ur story and u obviously have ur own plot line and all and have every right to build the story as u like but what writer provide isnt just entertainment, but they shape the narrative of young minds. So I would say that romanticing cheating is, or rather THORNE'S behaviour, wrong for all the reasons..give york a chance ..that will be way more satisfying...again all of this is just my point of view but if charlene and thorne get back together, its not the story im looking for...
