21 Chapter 21
I heard Andrews voice in my head but I couldn’t do a single thing about it. All I felt was her whipping, and my hot blood rolling down my back in waves. I knew I was loosing it fast, and it honestly terrified me that maybe this was how I’m going to die.

I heard him screaming in my head when she finally stopped, my face blank as I tried to keep my tears at bay. “I’ll be back soon to finish.” She left with that, the creaking of the stairs alerting me when she made her departure. She kept me tied to the post, my back bare to the empty room and covered in my own blood. I wanted to sleep, to pass out, but the incessant shouts of Andrew kept me awake. ‘Whip, hard whip on my back!’
‘Oh my god, let me come get you. Please Emilia, I was at dinner when you began screaming. I almost couldn’t take it, I almost told them everything because I could feel your pain!’
My face paled, how could I let him go through that?

My mother was right. I deserved this. I always
deserved this. ‘I’m so sorry, I’ll raise the wall back up. This is my fault, I’m so sorry!’
‘Emilia wai-‘
Silence greeted me as I shut my eyes, finally letting my body relax as much as it could against the silver chains and my bloody broken back. –

I woke up again to the slam of the door above me. My mother ran down the stairs with fury in her eyes, her hands trembling. I could barely see her over my
shoulder, but I watched as she picked up the whip and gripped it in her fist. “There’s a wolf tracking along our house border. Is he your fucking mate?!” She screamed as she lashed the whip out again, hitting my raw back. It hurt so much more this time, that coupled with my bubbling skin from the silver chains didn’t help. ‘Andrew, please you have to leave.’
‘I can’t Emilia! You’re my sister, please let me save you.’
My mother continued her assault, her breathing ragged by the time she finished. She flicked her finger,

the chains holding me falling off and crumpling to the floor. I did almost the exact same thing, falling sideways as I tried to breathe. It came out in wheezing gasps, everything spinning as I tried to keep my eyes open. “You have school Monday, don’t sleep too long.” I heard the stairs creak as she walked up them,
undoubtedly leaving for her best friends; Jack Daniels and the seer pools. I lay there before pushing myself to my hands and knees, crawling up the steps painfully slow. I heard my mothers soft snores as I pushed the door open, beginning the crawl to the front door and out onto the yard. I saw Andrew standing alert along the border, my eyes almost shutting with how exhausted I was. I could barely breathe as I pushed myself to the same border, my finger practically an inch from crossing it. As soon as I did, Andrew would be able to see me and bring me somewhere. I don’t care right now, I just needed to breathe. “Andrew.” I croaked out just as my finger crossed it, his gasp filling the air. “Oh my god, Emilia.” He breathed out as he bent down, his hands wrapping around me. I cried out at the pain, a single tear escaping my eyes. “I have to take you to the pack doctor-” “No!” I cringed into myself as he began moving, my tattered and blood

stained clothes pressed against him. “Please Emilia, I won’t tell Wesley you’re there, but the pack doctors the best chance we have!” I huffed as he slowly walked to the house, my eyes begging to close and stay close. I forced them open when we began walking to the south wing of the home, the smell of antiseptic and peroxide filling the air around me. I wrinkled my nose when he opened a room, gasps filling it as soon as we stepped in. I must have been a site, a dirty as hell girl covered in blood and lashings being carried by the packs Beta. Oh how the gossip mill will spin.
“I need a doctor, now!” My eyes rolled into the back of my head as my body began shaking involuntarily, a cry coming from a few of the people in the room. “Get her mate!” Someone shouted, while I was screaming in the inside. ‘He wasn’t supposed to find out this way!’
