Wall Around Her Heart novel Chapter 17

The door opened up and I saw Trucker walk in. He walked over to the table and I noticed he had some bruises and a slight black eye. What happened to you? Larry, and I went at each other. I want to tell you he is not going to bother you, Tammy. Good to know. I also want to let you know that Knuckles claimed a woman.

Doesn't matter I said. We were teenagers. I hope he is happy. I think he is. I also want to tell you how sorry I am that I hurt you. How is your arm? It's all right. I get the stitches out in two weeks. Tammy, if you ever need anything. Find me. I turned and walked out of the club and got on my bike. I headed out of town. I was going to California.

What was that about Blake, asked dad. I put my headphones back on and started another movie. I was so engrossed in my movie I was surprised when glass fell on the table. I looked up and saw the blonde arguing with Beast. I took my headphones off and heard Beast, telling her he was not losing his patch over her. Then she stormed out of the club. God: I really do need to go back home. I stood up and climbed onto the back of the booth seat and jumped down.

I am going to my apartment. See you all later, I said walking across the bar and unlocking my door. I didn't even look over at Beast. I refused to let him hurt me again. Well, he didn't really hurt me. He hurt my feelings.

I thought he liked me, but he liked the blonde better. I shut and locked my door before taking a shower. I heard a knock on the door and opened it to see Beast standing there. What do you want Beast?

Tammy, I am sorry it I hurt you by kissing Linda. You can kiss whoever you want to kiss, and fuck, Beast. You are not my boyfriend. I seems that you want that woman. So go get her. I shut the door in his face.

I turned and walked over to the table and sat down. Queen looked at me. She shut the door in your face. She told me she didn't care who I kissed or fucked. That would be something she would say. You have two more strikes, and you are out. She is not going to make it easy for you, or you or any other man Beast.

You were lucky she didn't shut the door when she saw you standing there. And if I know, Tammy, which I do. She has already decided you are just, Savages VP. She is not going to let you back in. Not that she even has yet. After all the two of you never talk.

To her you are another man to avoid. I don't want to be another man to avoid Queen. Sorry, Beast but when you held Linda in your arms and kissed her in front of the whole club, you were telling Tammy, Lind was the woman you really want. I can't and I won't help you get Tammy. You of all people know about her past and what Larry did to her. In front of her ex-boyfriend while they held him down and made him watch.

I sighed and leaned my head against the wall. I fucked up and I know it. I'm going to my room, I said and stood up and walked down the hallway. I am fool I thought. Tammy is a good woman, and I made a big mistake.

That woman walks in and he starts kissing her. I don't want a man like that. I don't want a man who would kiss and hold his ex-girlfriend.

I couldn't sleep so I decided to grab my sword and go out back and practice. I didn't see the four men sitting near the window drinking and talking in soft voices as I walked past them and out the door.

I did not know that they all watched me practice. I didn't know that they saw me. The real me. The one I never let anyone see. The vulnerable woman who felt like a little girl who just wanted her mom and dad to hold her and tell her everything would be all right.

We heard, Savage say she is so broken, yet fights to be so strong. What happened to her, Savage? It is a long story. We have time. We listened to what, Savage had to say. When he finished, we all said, no woman should ever go through that. She did, and she survived.'

Savage, she survived but, she is not really living. She puts on a good front, making everyone thin she is happy and fine. But she isn't.
