Ren walked toward Larissa’s room with steps that became slower as he approached.

Julius sighed, the sound carrying years of dealing with his brothers’ protective instincts. Victor looked to the side and also sighed, releasing Ren’s shoulder finally.

Ren felt increasingly uncomfortable, standing in the middle of the room surrounded by three of the kingdom’s most powerful men. He was beginning to understand that Larissa or maybe Selphira had said something about the situation. Though he wasn’t sure exactly what.
