When He Married My Savior in Secret (Freda Lane) novel Chapter 4

In the VIP lounge, Jolie threw herself into Cyril’s arms, lifting her seductive face to kiss him passionately.

Baby, I’ve missed you so much. Just let me kiss you for a minute.

Cyril wrapped one arm around her waist, his other hand pressing against the back of her head as he responded with equal passion. The air between them grew thick and electric.

After a long moment, Jolie pushed him away, her face flushed and breathing ragged. Okay, you need to get back to

Freda.

You really want me to leave?Cyril’s eyes were glazed with lust as his thumb traced her swollen lips.

Jolie looked down. Of course I don’t, but I can’t bear to see Freda upset. She wouldn’t even take your calls because of me. I’m perfectly fine waiting here until you’re finished spending time with her.

God, you’re so sweet it kills me. I don’t want to leave you either. Baby, forget about everyone else right now and Enjoy the pleasure your husband’s giving you.

Cyril kissed her lips, then trailed down to her neck and chest.

Soft moans escaped from Jolie’s lips as her nails dug into his back. Oh God, not thereyou’re driving me crazy.

You dirty little thing, you’re totally wet.

The intimate scene hit Freda like a punch to the gut.

She bit down hard on her hand to keep from crying out. She’d thought she couldn’t hurt any more than she already did, but seeing this with her own eyes was absolutely devastating.

Cyril had cheated on her in every way possibleemotionally and physically.

Her stomach burned with nausea. She covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom, retching violently as sharp pains shot through her lower abdomen.

She gently touched her stomach, tears blurring her vision.

Baby, I’m so sorry.

I’m sorry you had to see what kind of man your father really is. Please forgive mommy for not being able to bring you into this world.

Freda emerged from the bathroom pale and unsteady on her feet. The deck was still bustling with activity, but Cyril and Jolie were nowhere to be seen.

The fireworks show ended, and only then did Cyril and Jolie return one after the other. Jolie looked radiant and completely satisfied.

Chapter 4

She deliberately sat down next to Treda and opened a velvet jewelry box with a smile. Miss Freda, this is a gift for you. I made it myself.

I can never thank you and Mr. Prescott enough for everything you’ve done for me. Five years ago, I didn’t save youyou both saved me. I really hope you two will be together forever and always stay this happy.”

Inside the box was a bright green bracelet, the color garishly vivid.

Freda stared at her blankly, then gave a tight smile. Keep it for yourself. I don’t like it.

Jolie’s hands trembled, and her eyes immediately welled up with tears. She instinctively looked toward Cyril.

Cyril acted as if he hadn’t seen her pleading look, his gentle gaze focused entirely on Freda, as if she was the only person in his world. My wife doesn’t like it, so take it back.

Jolie put away the gift looking hurt. Then can I at least make a toast? I wish you all the happiness in the world.

Freda didn’t refuse this time. She accepted the drink Jolie offered and took a sip.

Jolie’s face lit up with a smile again as she turned to leave. But for just a moment as she turned away, something cold and malicious flashed in her eyes.

Her foot caught on a chair leg, and she cried out as she fell to the ground, clutching her stomach.

Oh God!

Everyone panicked, and the people nearby rushed to help her up. When they saw drops of bright red blood staining her dress, they were horrified.

They immediately looked toward Cyril, and Freda instinctively looked at him too.

His expression remained completely calm. When he noticed Freda looking at him, he smiled tenderly and took her hand, saying casually to the others, You guys take her to the hospital. I’m staying here to finish watching the show with my wife.

The crowd helped Jolie off the boat while Cyril continued holding Freda’s hand, listening to the band’s performance.

If she hadn’t already known about their affair, she really would have been fooled by his acting.

Freda’s heart grew colder and colder, and the pain in her lower abdomen was getting worse.

Just as she was about to suggest going home, Cyril’s phone rang.

Mr. Prescott, you left in such a hurry earlier that we still haven’t resolved that contract issue. Could you possibly come to the office? His assistant’s urgent voice came through the phone.

Cyril frowned, stayed silent for a few seconds, then hung up. When he looked at Freda, his eyes held a hint of guilt. Baby, I need to run to the office real quick. Can you wait here for a bit? I’ll have the driver come pick you up, okay?

Freda laughed coldly to herself. Sure, go ahead.
